Description
Comfortable upstairs room with view of a cute red barn and goats. The Entry Door opens directly onto the staircase to the upstairs, so your comings and goings don't have you walking through the main part of the house. The bed is in a loft -- plenty of room to spread out, do yoga, etc. The bathroom is divided into a tub/shower room and a toilet/sink room -- locking door between them -- and is shared with one other professional traveler. The two of you have the whole upstairs to yourselves. The space Hot tub and pool are seasonal. Comfortable country neighborhood with gorgeous Mt. Baker view just ten minutes from I-5. The kitchen is well-planned and easy to work in and there is a large deck on the North and West sides of the house. We run our farm business, Flower Feather Farm, chicks & dahlias, on this property, so there are frequently baby chicks hatching in the hatching room and/or hanging out in brooders in the laundry room until they are big enough to go outside. We have two full-time dogs and several part-time dogs, depending on which family members are traveling. Numerous cats live on the property, only 3 1/2 have house-privileges. You are welcome to play our piano or one of the guitars, cook in the kitchen, and canoodle with the Labradoodle. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., unless you are a rooster. Guest access You are welcome to roam about the property, snacking on any fruit you find. Please take care to close all gates behind you. Please do not enter any out-buildings or the goat area. During your stay We are -- we think -- pleasant and relaxed people. We will always greet you and then leave it up to you if you want to chat or not. I am always happy to show guests my baby chicks, the adult chickens, and the goats. Just ask! Other things to note Whatcom County is the perfect place for an outdoor enthusiast, featuring Mt. Baker -- the country's #1 Snowboarding destination in winter and gorgeous hiking in summer; the San Juan Islands -- an international travel destination; Bellingham Bay for sea-kayaking and other salty adventures; numerous lakes, rivers, parks, and forests. There is ample basement storage in the basement for bikes, kayaks, etc. . Seattle Washington and Vancouver, B.C. are both less than 2 hours away, making for convenient cosmopolitan day-trips. Pool and hot tub are seasonal. We usually get them going in May and shut them down in the fall. Uber and Door-Dash available. Because we are in the county, do not expect street-lights. It's dark at night.
