This charming cottage is very quiet & private, with sweeping views of Echo Lake and surrounding mountains such as Bald and Wheeler. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family vacation. This winter the snow is as good as it gets. Cross country ski or snow shoe here or at the many trails nearby. Or just walk out onto the lake and smile. Message for conditions Bring your passports as Canada is just 20 minutes away with great food shopping and restaurants and scenic spots.. It is beautiful. The space This updated cottage sleeps 4 max and is well suited for a couple or small family. Main floor includes 2 bedrooms, (1 queen, 2 singles), 1 Ba, living room, kitchen, and large deck . Lower level includes family room with antique wood stove, SmarTV, couch and Eames chair . Full kitchen with coffee maker, Breville toaster oven, gas stove and refrigerator. A washer and dryer are provided for your use. Owners live nearby and can help with any questions / suggestions for the area. Echo Lake is in the Northeast Kingdom (NEK), and is known for its pristine water quality and excellent fishing. It is encircled by a gravel road, approx 5.5 miles long offering quiet and privacy. For more info, check it out the Echo Lake Association (ELPA) Website. Closest shopping, restaurants: 15min. Burke Mountain: 30 min. Jay Peak: 45 min. No public transportation in this rural area. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. The cottage includes lake frontage with hiking above the cottage. The view from the deck encompasses the lake, mountains and is wonderful to star gaze from. Other things to note Any use of the watercraft (paddleboat, kayak etc) requires you have and use life jackets. Life jackets are in the beach shed.
