The space Nestled directly under Mt Bartle Frere (Queensland's highest mountain), you can enjoy stunning views of the Babinda Falls cascading down the mountain, just by looking out the window. If you're keen for a bit more activity, you can swim, snorkel, tube or kayak up or down the Babinda Creek, with your own access point, occasionally shared by authorised HipCamp campers. Enjoy a ride over the rapids or take in the abundant wildlife both on land and in the water. This property adjoins the iconic Babinda Boulders, one of the region's premier tourist destinations. (Check out the signage at the Boulders regarding the family's connection to this land). Happy Valley is also only ten minutes from the historic cane-farming town of Babinda, where the 107-year-old Babinda State Hotel takes centre stage. There you'll find a local food store and several quality restaurants and cafes to tempt your taste buds. Other nearby tourist attractions include Bramston Beach, Josephine Falls and, if you're feeling super fit, The Bartle Frere summit walk. Cairns is approximately a 50-minute drive from Happy Valley and The Tablelands is around one hour and fifteen minutes.
