Rokkvika Seafront Apartment

This unique apartment is located right by the lake in the beautiful old part of Stamsund. From the panoramic windows or the spacious terrace you can see the Hurtigruta dock and leave every night. In the summer you can pick herbs from the garden, or in the winter keep warm in front of the wood stove. This cozy retreat is associated with Rokkvika Porcelain Factory, the studio of the renowned ceramic artist Gunvor Tangrand, and every piece of tableware in the apartment is handmade by her. The space The combined living room and kitchen has panoramic windows overlooking the sea, a wood burning stove, TV and a large, comfortable sofa. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans, a dining table with room for 8 people and handmade ceramics by the ceramic artist Gunvor Tangrand. The living room/kitchen has access to the terrace. Bathroom: Spacious bathroom with heated floors, bathtub/shower and washing machine and dryer. Bedroom 1: King size bed with tempura mattress. Bedroom 2: Queen size bed. Bedroom 3: Single bed The apartment has a small private garden with a playhouse for children, a fire pan and fresh herbs and vegetables that grow in boxes in the summer. The garden is connected to the large terrace overlooking the sea. The nearest grocery store is just a 3-minute walk from the apartment, and Live Lofoten Hotel with its restaurant and pub is even closer. Free private parking is available outside the apartment. Stamsund is a great starting point for day trips around Lofoten, as it is located approximately halfway between the town of Svolvær in the east and the westernmost outpost Å in the west. The nearest airport is in Leknes, a 15-minute drive from Stamsund. Hope this helps! Other things to note The home is located wall-to-wall with the workshop of the renowned ceramicist Gunvor Tangrand. As a guest with us, you can have the opportunity to visit the workshop and/or complete a pottery course during your stay.
