Three bed semi-detached edge of village cottage in Mortimer, perfect for escapes to the beautiful Berkshire countryside. Stable Cottage is in the grounds of Mortimer House, built in the late 1700's to service Reading Abbey. Situated on a quiet country lane but within walking distance of the village and Train station. The cottage has a main living/dining room, a snug, large kitchen, utilty and bathroom on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. The cottage sits within an orchard The space A beautiful, two storey, semi-detached cottage with private, off street parking for up to three cars. Downstairs you will find a large eat in kitchen with all the normal mod cons. Utility room with washer/drier. Office with desk and pull out sofa bed. Large living room with dining table, L-shaped sofa and 55 inch flatscreen Wifi enabled TV. Downstairs bathroom with bath/shower. Three bedrooms upstairs include a master bedroom with King size bed, a second bedroom with the option of two singles or a double (please inform us ahead of time how you would like it set up), and a third bedroom with two single beds. Two large bathrooms upstairs with WC's - one with a bath and one with a shower. Guest access All areas of the cottage are available to be used by guests. Stable Cottage is semi-detached and adjoins North Cottage which is occupied by a single, permanent tenant. Guests have the use of an enclosed and secure shared garden which is shared with North Cottage. Please make the most of any produce from the apple trees and raised vegetable beds in the garden! Other things to note Stable Cottage is less than 10 minutes from Juction 11 of the M4 and walking distance from the village train station in Mortimer, with quick access to London via Reading.
