Description

Cloud Nine is the perfect place for couples to relax and unwind and explore the North Yorkshire coastline. The pictures on our profile were taken at the end of the driveway. The space Standing on one of the most historic and beautiful parts of the Cleveland Way, Cloud Nine is part of a converted barn and dates back to the 1880s. The apartment is on the second floor and offers stylish, open plan accommodation. It's full of character and charm, with sloping ceilings and wooden beams. Cloud Nine is furnished and equipped to an extremely high standard. Guests enter through a main front door and the property is in its own private space in a bright, spacious and tastefully decorated loft conversion. The main living space is open plan with a 44" television and games and books to keep you entertained. The kitchen area is well equipped and we provide complimentary tea, coffee and milk. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with 100% cotton linen. The bathroom has a hot, powerful shower and we provide soap and shower gel. Because Cloud Nine is an attic conversion, it is important to note that it is not suitable for people with mobility issues. There are beams and sloping ceilings in places so you may wish to consider if it's the right space for you if you are extremely tall. Please note that the property is not ideal for young children because it is fully open plan, so if you do decide to bring a toddler, we advise you to bring a stair gate. Additionally, we do not provide any baby equipment such as travel cots or high chairs. There is a garden behind the main property with a sign saying 'Cloud Nine Guest Garden' on it. You will have exclusive use of this throughout your stay. Other things to note Port Mulgrave in North Yorkshire, England is a beautiful and tranquil former ironstone exporting port on the Cleveland Way. It is home to No. 20 a well-known Michelin-starred restaurant that's well worth booking in advance. There is an abundance of footpaths and cliff walks right outside the door, and although the beach is not easily accessible, you can enjoy stunning scenery en route to the quaint fishing villages of Staithes, Runswick Bay (voted Britain's Best Beach in 2020), Sandsend and then on to the bustling fishing port of Whitby. Staithes was once one of the North East's busiest fishing villages and is also famous for its ties to Captain Cook. You'll find a labyrinth of red-roofed cottages and higgledy-piggledy streets that transport you back to a bygone era. From art galleries, trails and festivals, a scenic harbour, rock pool beach, cosy pubs, there's plenty to keep you occupied. Whitby has been described as the 'prettiest seaside town in the UK' and it's easy to understand why. Its ruined Gothic Abbey was Bram Stoker’s inspiration for Dracula and overlooks a delightful harbour, surrounded by pretty houses. There are attractions to suit all ages, along with an excellent selection of shops and cafés in both the new and old towns. Keep an eye out for the regular themed events and festivals, from the bi-annual Goth Weekender to the wonderful folk week. From Whitby, you can take the steam train and view the dramatic scenery of the North York Moors, as well as the quaint little villages of Grosmont, Goathland (known as Aidensfield in the TV series ‘Heartbeat’) and Levisham, reaching its final destination at Pickering.
