Hickatee Cottages is a quaint jungle property rental approximately 1.5 miles from the Punta Gorda town. Built in 2005 on 20 acres, it has been created with minimal impact to the environment, and maximum benefit to the community. When booking with us, you can choose the entire property rental or a private get-a-way for a smaller group. Let us know how we can make your experience memorable. Booking fees will be calculated on cottage room(s) requested. The space The ‘lion’s share’ of Hickatee Cottages is in its original natural state, with large trees and lush vegetation and is home to an array of wildlife. We are outside of city limits and we are off-grid, solar-powered, with comfortable rooms, a low-key relaxed atmosphere. Hickatee Cottages offers 6 cottage houses ranging in size. Each house has its own entrance and en-suite facilities, including fully screened windows for excellent ventilation, ceiling fans (non-air conditioned spaces), hot showers, hammocks on each verandah and comfortable beds. The property also includes a separate house for the gathering area. It includes a bar, dining area, kitchen facilities and library! We have plenty of seating to relax with a book from our library or sit at the bar, and to come together for a group meal on the outdoor verandah. Group travel packages can include catered meal services or a fully equip kitchen should your group prefer to self-cater. Note: The rental fee includes full facility use, including the rented cottage houses, the main dining house, use of kitchen facilities and private use of property grounds and splash pool. Catered meal plans are available to any group at a per person cost (24-hour notice). Housekeeping laundry services also available at an additional fee.
