Description
The Little Red Cabin in the Woods is a place to explore, celebrate, retreat, work or disconnect to reconnect. Surrounded by woods and next to a seasonal bubbling creek and cascading waterfall, the cabin is snuggled into a private setting, offering a place to experience peace and serenity. The space Part of the year the creek and waterfall go dry but the almost two acre piece of paradise is still a great place to explore nature’s beauty. Woodland wildflowers including trillium, jack in the pulpit and wild blackberries abound along the forest’s edge. The side deck is furnished to relax and dine outside and an old corn crib has been repurposed into a unique fire pit area. Bug spray, citronella candles and tiki torches are provided for comfort and ambience. The cabin itself is a bit rustic and a bit luxurious. Inside the tiny space is a first floor open area including living, dining and a full kitchen. Although the kitchen is small, it is fully equipped for guests who choose to cook or bake while there. Coffee, tea, condiments and spices are provided. The first floor also boasts a full bathroom with shower, organic and all natural shampoo, conditioner and soaps and high quality towels. Upstairs is a loft bedroom with a queen bed outfitted with a Nectar mattress, organic bamboo sheets and a variety of pillows and blankets for a restful night’s sleep. A sitting area under the eaves provides a cozy reading or work nook. Other amenities include two bathrobes, two yoga mats and two neck warmers. Although the cabin is most ideal for two people and is not childproofed, there is a double sofa bed downstairs with a new extra thick gel memory foam mattress and a twin floor mattress topped with a memory foam layer for added comfort. As much as possible, we have made an effort to use eco-friendly and sustainable products for the comfort of all guests. In addition to enjoying the simplicity of nature, there are plenty of games and puzzles for memory building opportunities. A Weber table top grill is available, however propane cannisters must be purchased. There is an outlet near the driveway for charging EV’s, however guests must provide their own adapter. Access to the cabin is with a keyless smart lock and the entire property is available for your use. For safety purposes, there is a security camera focused on the driveway. Within minutes of the cabin is the charming village of Naples with a variety of restaurants, Artizans Gallery, Joseph’s Wayside Market, Lynnie Lou’s Ice Cream, Bristol Valley Theater and wineries and breweries. Grimes Gully, High Tor Wildlife Management and the Woodville Boat Launch on Canadaguia Lake are nearby and Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, wine trails, Canadaguia, Penn Yan and many other Finger Lake attractions are within a short drive. To keep the property comfortable and clean for all guests, we ask it to remain pet free, smoke free and inside the cabin, shoe free. Thank you for your understanding.
