Falling Water Cabin is the perfect combination of Snowshoe Mountain recreation & private off-the-grid relaxation. Spend your days enjoying all the activities that Snowshoe Mountain and Pocahontas County have to offer. Enjoy your nights unwinding in this authentic log cabin or around our private outdoor firepit located on 2 acres surrounded by trees, streams, mountains, & all the great outdoors has to offer. Only 15 minutes from Snowshoe Mountain but miles away from everything else. The space Guests will have access to the cabin's house phone and Wi-Fi internet. The cabin's internet services are provided via satellite. As a result, on rare occasions, service may be temporarily interrupted due to extreme weather conditions. This cabin has Direct TV and a DVD player with lots of movies to enjoy. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook with (I.e. pots, pans, utensils) as well as a wide variety of spices and condiments. The cabin gets its water from a local stream and is equipped with an entire home UV light filtration system so it’s safe to drink. Bathroom towels and bed linens are provided. Dish soap and hand soap are provided. Shampoo and bath soap is not provided. You will enjoy the privacy of a large, heavily wooded lot surrounded by mountain views in all directions, streams, and an abundance of wildlife. In addition to Snowshoe Mountain, you are only a short drive to; the Greenbrier River, Monongahela National Forest, George Washington National Forest, Green Bank Observatory, Seneca State Forest, Beartown State Park. Outdoor enthusiasts will love this cabin for all of the outdoor recreation activities Pocahontas County has to offer. There are several opportunities for hiking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking only a short drive away. Dogs allowed: On a case-by-case basis, an extra fee will be added & the renter must agree to the following rules 1) Dogs are not allowed in the cabin alone or unattended unless in a crate. 2) The pet must be leashed when outside. 3) All animal waste must be picked up. Other things to note The roads and driveways are plowed but AWD or 4WD is strongly encouraged for winter months December-March. If you choose to bring a front wheel drive car you may do so at your own risk. The owners are not held responsible if you get stuck in the snow. The owner will consider allowing dogs to stay on a case-by-case basis. If approved by the owner, an additional pet fee will be added to your rental, and the renter must agree to the following additional pet-related rules. 1) The dog is not allowed in the cabin alone or unattended. 2) The dog must be on a leash when outside the cabin. 3) All pet waste must be picked up and properly disposed of. Failure to do so will result in an additional $50 pet waste removal fee. If you are interested in seeking approval for a dog to stay as part of your reservation, please message back with the following information about your dog. 1) Total number of dogs that will be on the property during your stay. 2) Breed of the dog. 3) Age of the dog. Guest access Guest have access to the entire cabin including a covered porch, deck, and outdoor firepit located in a private secluded log cabin neighborhood 15 minutes from Snowshoe Mountain ski resort. Other things to note The cabin and Pocahontas County are located in the National Radio Quiet Zone (NRQZ) as a result, cell phone coverage through the county and surrounding area is extremely limited and is unavailable at the cabin. Please remember to review your directions prior to departure, cell phone service is limited in much of the area and may make use of some mapping or GPS services inoperable. We are happy to help with travel plans and provide directions to the cabin.
