Peace and Contentment

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Though just minutes from major highways, the country setting is quiet and peaceful. There’s space to run and play, a front porch to enjoy coffee and the sunrise, and a back patio for dining and relaxing. The views are spectacular for seeing whitetail deer, turkeys, and the occasional bear. Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes; Keuka, Seneca, Canandaigua lakes, and Watkins Glen, Letchworth, and Stoney Brook State Parks are close by. The space Our house is a farmhouse built in the late 1800’s, but has been updated with all the modern conveniences. There are three bedrooms upstairs. The beds are twin, queen and king. The room with the queen bed is a half step up off the staircase. It’s unusual, but it’s the way the house was built. There is no plumbing upstairs but a comfy, queen sofa bed is available on the first level if one of your party is unable to navigate stairs. There is a bath and a half. The kitchen is equipped with a place setting of eight, and all the cookware/bakeware needed to make your food prep easy. There is a microwave, oven with timer, gas cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator with an ice maker. There is also a toaster, coffee maker, blender, crockpot, griddle, and bread machine. There is a huge lawn with a great hill in the side yard should you come when there’s snow and want to go sledding. Two sleds are located in a storage shed for your use. In the warmer months there is an outdoor eating area with grill and fire pit. The driveway is blacktopped and there is one slight step needed to enter the home. The home is bright and cheerful, yet cozy. Although less than a mile from the major highway, you will feel like you’re secluded in the country. Guest access You will be free to use the entire living area of the home, but the basement will be inaccessible. There is no washer/dryer available for your use, but laundry service is available from our housekeeper at a reasonable fee if you are staying a minimum of one week. Details will be worked out with her personally. Other things to note One of the bedrooms is equipped with a Barbie Dream House, Barbie dolls and accessories, as well as an assortment of games, books, Lincoln Logs, and K-Nex building toys. These come in handy if you travel with children. Two of the bedrooms are large and can accommodate a portable crib or inflatable mattress if needed. Neither of these are currently available, you will need to bring your own.
