Once the home of Mary Breckenridge, the founder of Frontier Nursing Service, guests from all over the world have visited here to enjoy a true Appalachian experience. The home is warm, inviting, and provides total relaxation for all who visit us throughout the year. The space This historic log home is located at Wendover just outside Hyden KY. You will enter on the main floor and all living and dining areas plus the kitchen and a half bath are on this floor. Upstairs you will have four bedrooms and two full baths with showers, not tubs. There are no bedrooms on the first floor. Guest access Guests will have the entire home to themselves. Other things to note This home does have fully stocked kitchen and guests are welcome to use it. However, please be aware that it is not like a kitchen you would have in your home. It was designed for meal preparation not a place to gather and hang out.
