Description

Thatched half-timbered house in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath. Rest, relaxation in impressive nature in a beautiful, lovingly prepared gem. Other things to note We rent out our historic, thatched half-timbered house, which we have lovingly furnished. The house is situated in an idyllic location at the end of a barely traveled dirt road with only 3 houses. It belongs to a listed ensemble of heathland half-timbered houses and stands on a property of about 2,100 m² with several hundred-year-old oaks, which is available for your exclusive use along with a carport. Dogs are welcome here. Due to the field edge location, the outlet begins right by the house. No smoking in the house. Events, parties and bachelorette and bachelor parties are also not permitted. No fitters! You enter the house through a decorative door. On the ground floor there is a spacious living and dining area with open kitchen (53 m²). The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove with ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. All dishes and various appliances (toaster, raclette, etc.) are available. With a fully automatic coffee machine, you can prepare various coffee specialties at the touch of a button. In the center of the living area, a large living area invites you to linger in front of the beautiful tiled stove. A high-quality home organ is available for hobby musicians. There is also a large flat-screen TV. From the XXL armchair "Lisbeth" you can enjoy the unobstructed view of the garden and the adjacent fields. It is a wonderful place where you can find very cozy peace - also for two. Another bright room has a large, high-quality double bed (Hülsta). There are also 2 wing chairs and offer the opportunity to relax and a view of the spacious, secluded terrace. On the ground floor there is also the new bathroom with hanging toilet and walk-in shower. On the 1st floor you can reach a light-flooded large bedroom with a double bed (Hülsta) through a room with 2 single beds. The 2nd bathroom is also on the 1st floor. New from 2024, a large, very valuable, XXL beach chair is available for you on the terrace. A lounge set completes the seating options. On the side terrace next to the house, we have a large table set with 6 chairs for you. Here you can have breakfast outdoors, drink coffee or just sit together. The large garden is quiet and well established. Far from any hustle and bustle, the garden is an oasis of tranquility. Here you will find many places where you can just sit and enjoy nature. You are also welcome to use the garden to play with your children. Soccer, badminton or boccia, everything is possible. Garden furniture is available for you to use. In the former sheepfold we have bicycles for you with which you can make wonderful excursions into the heathland. Surroundings: St. Dionys, with its unique charm and perfect location between the banks of the Elbe and the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg, is located in a beautiful setting. On the one hand, heathland and pine forests characterize the town with 500 inhabitants, on the other hand its typical architecture, which is predominantly thatched half-timbered houses. The center of the village is the St. Dionysius Church, which was founded in 795 by Charles, the King of the Franks. Its impressive Furtwängler organ is remarkable. In the immediate vicinity of the vacation home is one of the most beautiful and traditional golf courses in Germany (according to Golfmagazin, it is among the top 10 German golf courses). Due to its beautiful location in a nature reserve, it is not only interesting for golfers, but can also be used for wonderful, extensive walks. Versatile fishing opportunities and beautiful cycling and riding trails are available. You can experience peace and quiet if you start on many idyllic hiking trails that start directly from the house around the towns of St. Dionys, Barum, Wittorf and Brietlingen. Thus, the Way of St. James, the Via Scandinavica, which connects both the Scandinavian countries and Lithuania and Poland with the Way of St. James in the middle and south of Germany, runs directly along the house. A scallop shell attached to the house shows the pilgrims the way to Santiago. Directly on the southern outskirts lies an extensive forest area, in the north fields, meadows and rivers are waiting to be discovered on walks. Everything is within walking distance of the house. The municipality of Barum, about 2 km away, also has a swimming lake with a lawn. All shopping for everyday needs can be found in nearby Bardowick. If you want to leave the car behind, St. Dionys has a public transport connection. The attractive shopping town of Lüneburg with its historic city center is about 13 minutes away by car. The metropolis of Hamburg can also be reached in around 30 minutes via the A39 motorway.
