This old stone cottage situated in Beddgelert north wales is perfect for group trips, 2.8 miles from the summit of Mt Snowdon and close to the Watkin path. This old coach house has a long history, built in 1890. Equipped with a big farm house kitchen with gas range cooker perfect for entertaining families and friends. Has a nice relaxing living area with settees to relax or watch TV after long days hiking or wandering in the outdoors. Sleeps 8/10 4 doubles rooms and 1 twin room. The space The size of the house makes it ideal for large groups of friends, multi familes or hosting two sibling families or a family with grand parents. This size of house often makes it popular with wedding parties as we are close to the nant Gwynant barn wedding venue is close by and we are set in attractive woodland surroundings. As well as being at the foot of Mt Snowdon on everyones bucket list we are centrally located in Snowdonia National park make it a perfect base for long stays. The old coach house offers a well equipped kitchen with big farm house table perfect for entertaining large families and big groups. Contains double oven range gas cooker, big american style fridge, dishwasher, tumble dryer and washing machine everything you need for a weeks stay or home from home. Off the kitchen is a big open space with corner sofas presents a comfortable living space to chat, have afternoon tea, play family games or watch satellite TV. Alternatively just sit and relax in front of a welcoming log fire with a glass of wine or cup of tea. Downstairs there is a further reception room, which has books, games, corner sofa, with pull out double sofa, chaise lounge style with a separate compartment to store extra bedding if needed. This room offers a second room for entertaining, planing day trips, or play area for children. Entrance hall with porch which is perfect for storing coats and shows for up to 10 people. Stairs lead up to the second floor which has two well equipped bathrooms, both have powerful double showers, hand basins and toilet. One of the bathrooms has bath if you need a relaxing dip. Hair dryers are available for those of us with long hair. The landing provides access to four bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a spacious area with a four poster bed and a reclining chair, wardrobe space. The second bedroom offers a comfortable double bedroom with excellent views of the country side and landscape. Has wardrobe space and chest of draws for cloths storage. The third bedroom also offers a comfortable double bed with nice views of the country side and landscape. This room is equipped with a chest of draws for storage. The fourth bedroom has two twin single beds, wardrobe for storage and affords views of the surrounding woodland at the back of the property. There is a new start of the art NEST gas central heating system making this a cosy cottage to stay in all year round. This makes the whole coach house a warm welcoming space after a day outside or on the hills as well as providing oodles of hot water. Guest access The whole property and 2.5 acres of surrounding woodland is available to you. The housekeeper lives offsite so the accommodation is private to you and your group. Other things to note Central location ================= Our site has a unique picturesque location close to Snowdon there is no better natural setting in the National Park of Snowdonia. Being centrally located by two lakes and on the mountains makes us the perfect outdoor destination. If your not confident enough to do some of these outdoor activities on your own we can arrange one of our partner organisations to meet your needs. Celebrations and large groups ========================= In addition to Aran cottage we are able to offer multiple accommodations that makes us a perfect destination for special occasions and celebrations. We can host multiple families and large groups in a range of accommodation from cottages to cabins to suit your groups needs. We have something for everyone and we are excellent value open all year round. For example this year we hosted 6 home schooling families that connect to each other to form an online school they are located all over UK and expats that live in France. They had a great experience meeting each other in person and turning their stay into study field trip as well as some group recreational time. This occasion helped formed memories and experiences that will live with them throughout their lives. Adaptable accommodation ====================== You will find Aran Cottage a very large and enjoyable living space which is very comfortable and can adapt to your needs. If you have young children we can make your stay more comfortable and save your carspace on your journey by providing cots, high chairs and stair gates. Rural yet village and town amenities close by ================================== You will also find that though we are rural most of the main supermarkets will deliver supplies to the door enabling to enjoy more of your stay. Should your run out there is a local grocery store 2.8 miles away or further a field the coastal town of Porthmadog can provide access to three major supermarkets which have late opening hours. All year round comfort ================= We recently invested heavily in new central heating system which makes us a comfortable destination all year round. Snowdonia is a pretty relaxing place to be out of season and our cosy cottages make it more so. The perfect antidote to city life. Pets ==== Pets are welcome but at a small extra charge. All we ask is that you are responsible dog owners and bring their own bedding, walk them off site and use biodegradable poo bags. Natural Setting, close to major land marks and natural attractions ================================================== Being located in a natural setting makes us the complete opposite environment to a busy city life. A great place to recharge your batteries and have some quality downtime. We may not have a hot tub and sauna but we are close as you can get to the Watkin waterfalls which offer over 14 dipping pools, a natural cold tub. The two lakes also afford paddle boarding and wild swimming opportunities. You too can access the health benefits that cold water is muted to afford.
