There is one bathroom with a walk-in shower, vanity and toilet; and an additional toilet by the laundry. Seaside Retreat has heating and cooling throughout for year-round comfort, with reverse cycle split-system air-conditioning in the living area, and all bedrooms have ceiling fans and heating, with a portable evaporative cooling unit. There are entertainment options throughout the holiday house with televisions in all bedrooms, and a DVD player in the bunk bedroom. The large open plan living area is spacious with a lounge room, kitchen, large dining table, and access to the front deck with sea views. The holiday house has spacious sofa seating and bean bags in the lounge room, with a large television (with USB & HDMI port), and a range of entertainment choices including a DVD player, DVDs, CD player, radio, board games and playing cards. A treadmill is located in the lounge room for guests wanting to exercise while or holiday or on rainy days. Seaside Retreat has a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven and stovetop, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and rainwater throughout the house. The kitchen has a range of kitchen appliances including kettle, toaster, sandwich press, rice cooker, electric frypan, mixer and blender; with an ice maker in the laundry. The large dining table has seating for 10 people, and there is bar stool seating at the kitchen island; with a bar and bar fridge in the living area. There is a full laundry at Seaside Retreat with a front load washing machine, clothes dryer and rotary clothesline in the rear yard. Guests can enjoy relaxing on the elevated undercover deck at the front of the holiday house, with sea views of the bay. There is outdoor seating and dining facilities, with a patio heater for the deck, and a large wall-mounted television in the living area can be swivelled towards the deck for television viewing. Outdoor cooking facilities include a hooded gas barbecue with a gas ring for cooking crabs; and the nearby Black Point beach is recommended for raking for blue swimmer crabs. There is also a fire pit in the front yard, and guests will need to bring wood to use and check fire regulations. Pets are welcome outside at Seaside Retreat in the unfenced yard by prior arrangement with Country Getaways. Just let the Country Getaways staff know when making a booking if you would like to bring a pet with you for your stay. Directly across the road from the holiday house is a path to the beach path, providing easy access to the beach and water; and there is an outdoor shower at the house for rinsing off after a swim. There is off-street parking in the driveway for 3 cars, or 2 cars and a boat if you are planning to fish while on holidays, with the Black Point boat ramp just a short drive away. There are no shopping facilities in Black Point, but nearby Pine Point has a kiosk offering a range of supplies including ice, general store items, newspapers, takeaway and more; or head north to Ardrossan for a broad range of shopping and dining options. Whilst some properties may have minimal quantities of toilet paper, washing powders & detergents, and soap; it is expected that guests will bring their own items for the length of their stay. Generally, nothing is provided in the way of food items. Guests need to bring their own tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and other food stuffs.
