Cottage in lush garden in Historic Centre

Breathe fresh mountain air from Panecillo hill while swaying in a hammock amidst flowers and hummingbirds. Objets d'art dot the lush garden, while inside, tiled floors and modern decor combined with reed ceilings give this heritage cottage an enchanting flair. A modern wood burning stove for cool evenings provides a cosy atmosfere, even so heating systems are not common in Quito. The design of the garden gives the chance to interact with other guests in our condo, or to stay private. The space Fascinated by the magic of the 'Old Town' where authentic Ecuadorian traditions are still alive and can be experienced in its streets and places, we decided that this is where we want to live. After a year of extensive search we finally found this treasure. It took us three years to carefully renovate the property. Within the 15.000 sqft of the old historical villa with its cottages and garden we created eight independent units cautious of not loosing the colonial charm but adding all the contemporary comforts. Quito's colonial city center is a UNESCO world heritage site, the most ampel colonial center in whole South America. You should definitely not miss exploring it while you are in Ecuador. Taxi/ Uber service is cheap in Ecuador and a taxi will take you for 2 U$ to the Main Plaza and for 4 US$ within 15-20 minutes to modern Quito. Guest access You are most welcome to relax in our peaceful garden area, use the gazebo and BBQ and harvest herbs for personal use. Our selection of board games and books is waiting for you. Other things to note General Safety Advice The Historical Center of Quito has many foreign visitors and the Municipality provides a tourist police service that cares specifically about visitors. Pick-pockets do operate in crowded places such as public buses or plazas, so be careful in these circumstances. It is advisable not to carry around expensive equipment and avoid walking with cameras and jewelry exposed. We recommend leaving your important documents and cards in your suite. Take only the necessary things/money you need for each visit. I am travelling a lot, you should just move as careful as in any big European city.
