The space Step back in time in our enchanting 17th-Century barn. Believed to be the oldest building in the village, dating back to the 1600s, this historic barn has been fully renovated and brought back into use. Sleep where the farm hand would have lived and look down from the oak balcony into the living area below, which would have once been home to his cattle. From the front door, enter into a welcoming open-plan space, where the kitchen and dining area flow into a double-height sitting room. Here, the warmth of the wood-burner takes centre stage, inviting you to sink into plush chairs and a comfortable sofa. This sofa converts into a full-size double bed, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for extra guests. Tucked off the main living area, a stylish bathroom features a marble-topped sink, modern toilet and a spacious shower with both standard and rainfall showerheads. Ascend the staircase to the mezzanine bedroom above. Here, a comfortable king-size bed awaits, along with storage for clothes and a charming Juliet balcony. From this tranquil setting, enjoy the view down to the warm glow of the lounge below, or up to the magnificent 350-year-old oak beams that form the barn's roof structure. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the whole barn during their stay. However, the solid external door is an understairs storage area for changeover equipment and cleaning supplies and is normally kept locked. If you have bikes, kayaks or other equipment you'd like to store during your stay, please let us know, and we can provide additional secure storage for these on site at no extra charge.
