Cosy Studio near Bishops Castle

Enjoy a night or two away in our beautiful, private guest studio situated on a farm in the stunning south west Shropshire countryside, just over a mile outside the picturesque market town of Bishops Castle. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, there are many fantastic walks in the surrounding forestry commission woods from the door step, and the Longmynd just a short drive away. The market towns of Ludlow, Church Stretton, Shrewsbury, and Welshpool are all within 30 miles. The space The studio comprises of a charming bedroom with either super king or twin beds, a television, en suite bathroom and a little kitchenette. You have a private entrance separate from the main house, and a view of the farm yard from the top of the stairs leading up to the studio. Bishops Castle has a handful of great pubs, Indian and Chinese takeaways, and a chip shop. The high street offers a little Coop, Spar and a great little selection of independent shops. There is also a leisure centre with swimming pool, gym and squash courts. The space comprises of: · Its own private entrance · A comfortable king size bed (or two single beds on request) with linen provided · En suite shower room with towels and hand soap provided · Kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, basic crockery and cutlery. Tea and coffee, making facilities are provided (we just ask that once your milk has run out you provide your own!) · TV (amazon firestick only) · Wifi · Free on site, off road parking · Central heating which is controlled by our family house however there is a plug in oil radiator if you get chilly! Guest access Guests have access to the cosy, private studio. There is no outside space, however there are lovely walks from the doorstep. The studio is on the first floor and up a flight of fairly steep metal steps so please be aware of this when booking. Other things to note Things to note: • The suite is our spare room in our family home so has a door through to our landing, this door is locked on our side and you have a spearate entrance for your use. • As it is in our house there can be noise from our delightful children and animals! This can sometimes be during the night and early in the morning so if you're looking for a peaceful retreat this is not the place for you! We do however provide earplugs and do our best to keep noise to a minimum. We have also considered this when pricing the room. •. As there is a floor level window and the studio is on the first floor unfortunately it is not suitable for babies and children! • We are situated on a working farm therefore we ask people to be vigilant when arriving at, and leaving the property as the metal gridded stairs leading up to the studio are accessed through our neighbours farm yard where dogs, horses and cattle may be around. We also have two very friendly dogs who may be around on the access path occasionally - hence regrettably not allowing dogs! • As we are in a rural area we have 5G internet which can be a bit sketchy at times! • The nearest public transport is in Bishops castle which is about a miles walk on a footpath through fields so it might be handy to have a car! Please note we only have parking available for one car. • Please be aware Taxis are limited and need to be booked well in advance, we can provide numbers of local firms! • There is no outside space apart from the top platform of the steps. • We have very sulfury water here and as a result it can sometimes be a bit smelly, It is however fit for consumption and UV and particulate filtered before coming into the building and the filters are changed regularly. We do however provide a water filter jug to ensure drinking water tastes nice! On booking please state wether you would like a super king or twin beds. We look forward to welcoming you to Lagden Barn!
