Hilltop Retreat

Welcome to our newly built guesthouse, located on top of a hill in a peaceful farm setting, where modern amenities meet rural escape. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch, surrounded by giant oaks, where you can hear the birds sing and watch the animals roam. We are located just 20 minutes from World Equestrian Center (WEC), 15 mins from HITS, and 30 minutes from Gainesville and the University of Florida, in the epicenter of equestrian and diver’s paradise! Horses welcome, please inquire. The space Hilltop retreat is a spacious (740 sq. Ft) one-bedroom guesthouse on a working farm. It is located in a private pasture with a dedicated separate entrance gate. The bedroom boasts a king-sized memory foam mattress bed, streaming TV, and two oversized closets. The bathroom has a walk-in, glass-door shower. The living room/kitchen is open concept, with a breakfast bar and bistro table. The couch easily opens into a full-size sleeper. Extra linens and pillows are provided, and an extra futon sleeping mat can be found in the bedroom closet. Sliding doors off the living room open to a front porch surrounded by trees and overlooking rolling pastures. The front porch and side entrance are both elevated, and require 4-5 steps to access. The kitchen is fully equipped, and has brand new stainless steel appliances - range, stove, microwave, dishwasher. Guest access The pasture surrounding the guesthouse is privately yours to use. All common areas may be used by guests, but please do not go into any animal pastures. You may feed the animals outside of their fences, but please exercise caution, as all animals, even our friendly ones, have the capacity to kick or bite. Please keep all gates closed at all times! Other things to note Hilltop Retreat is located on Find Your Wild Ranch and Rescue. We are a working farm, and have a variety of animals gracing our pastures, including horses, donkeys, cows and goats. The animals are a wonderful part of the farm experience for most visitors, but keep in mind, they have voices and like to use them! Working farms have inherent dangers, including but not limited to, uneven walking paths, farm equipment, large animals, fire ants, potential exposure to snakes, wasps, etc. Children need to be supervised at all times, and caution exercised when exploring the property. We offer 100 % turnout (pasture) boarding with run-in shelters for your traveling equines either daily, weekly, or monthly. Our farm is centrally located to WEC, HITS, Black Prong, and Goethe National Forest. Partial, full board, and trailer storage available, please message for details. We are also located 10 minutes from Blue Grotto Dive Center and Devil’s Den Prehistoric Spring. We offer freediving excursions and certification courses conducted by PADI certified instructors for those who may be interested! For outdoor enthusiasts, Rainbow Springs, Ginnie Springs, Manatee Springs and others are all within 30 minutes to an hour drive. University of Florida, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (aka, The Swamp), and all that Gainesville has to offer is only 30 minutes away, so book your stay for those highly sought after Gators home game weekends early and beat the exorbitant prices of Gainesville stays on football weekends!
