Close enough to walk to the resort activities at Wallowa Lake but not right in the middle of everything making this the perfect place for relaxation and privacy! Even though the Wallowa River is in earshot of the cabin, there is an area of natural grass giving the impression of a barrier which is perfect for those more timid littles to want to stay in the yard until you are ready to take them to the water. Cozy lil cabin meets all the needs of a little cabin in the woods vacation! The space What do you crave in a vacation? Stroll to the activities at the resort side (South side) of Wallowa Lake? Gather up your lake stuff and walk to the State Park/public use area and spend your day enjoying the Lake? Sitting on the deck, enjoying the propane firepit, reading a book, drinking your favorite beverage while you listen to the river flow on by? A little bit of everything? You will be able to enjoy ALL from our home! Our River's Edge cabin is nestled in the trees on the resort side of Wallowa Lake. Enjoy this charming knotty pine cabin that offers the perfect blend of nature and beauty. With a large, well-maintained yard and direct river access, this cabin provides endless opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation. Our home is deemed by many of our friends and past clients as the perfect location --"Close enough to walk to everything but far enough at the end of the road to feel tucked away from the hustle and bustle. " Open the front door and step into the warm and inviting living room, with lots of windows providing natural light and a gentle breeze. This wonderful space is ideal for family bonding and relaxation. A flat screen TV perches above the mantle of the propane burning fireplace sets the stage for an unforgettable stay. The open floor plan between the kitchen and dining area and living room make it easy to prepare the meals and still be included in whatever the rest of your group is partaking in! We’ve tried to plan for any and every kitchen need you may have by providing the basics and then some so your meal prep should be a breeze! A delightful breakfast bar overlooks the side yard which is often frequented by wildlife such as deer and foxes. The first queen bed is located just off of the living room. Just past the living room and towards the bathroom are two additional bedrooms, one offering another queen bed and the last bedroom offering two twin beds. We supply seasonally appropriate bedding for your stay by providing cozy flannel sheets and toasty warm blankets and comforters in cooler months and cool and crisp cotton sheets and lighter bedding in the warmer months. We also provide a portable AC unit to use wherever you need just a bit more cool air! The sole bathroom is spacious and offers a shower stall. The stack washer and dryer is located just outside of the bathroom and we’ll leave you supplies to keep up on vacation laundry! Just steps outside the back door from the kitchen is the partially covered deck. Facing the constantly flowing Wallowa River (not overly visible from the house but just past the yard) you'll enjoy the large maintainted yard or utilize the patio furniture and enjoy the large deck, propane bbq and propane firepit (We provide the propane!). Be on the watch under the deck when you go out into the yard as this is the neighborhood deer herd's favorite place to spend a lazy afternoon napping in the cool shade the deck provides! (but we recommend enjoying them from a distance and not feeding them no matter how nicely they ask). DISTANCES: (est walking time if you are a strolling type) Wallowa Lake Tramway 15 minutes Horse Pack Station 10 minutes Mini Golf 15 minutes Day use state park/Marina 10 minutes Guest access You’ll get to enjoy every inch of our home and property privately! Other things to note Please don't take our "fine print" below as anything other than helpful advice, but please do take it seriously. We want you to have a successful and relaxing stay. Here are things we think are helpful to a successful vacation: *SUPPLIES: A starter pack of kitchen/bathroom/utility supplies will be provided. If you run out and need more, you will be responsible for those. *POWER OUTAGES are a thing up here. Frequent at times. We aren’t privy to an ETA anymore than you. Please refer to the Pacific Power website for ETA on outage and restoration. BBQS/FIRE PIT: Seasonally available Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Tanks are provided. A/C: Is a Black and Decker 10,000 BTU portable Air Conditioner with remote control. PETS: We welcome Fido! (max 2 dogs) Please keep them off beds, (that means sheets too), and all furniture. Keep them safe from wildlife by using a leash, and scoop/dispose of poo in outside garbage can. Additional charges will be sought if evidence is found of our rules being broken. We love dogs, travel with ours as well, but help us keep this home pet friendly by honoring our wishes. ALSO, please be aware that the deer do not play well with dogs. WILDLIFE: Please do not feed, engage in play, pet or disturb the wildlife. Best enjoyed from a distance regardless of how friendly they appear....they are moody little critters! CABLE: Not available, but the TV is smart so bring your streaming account info PARKING: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. FIRES/FIREWORKS/SMOKING/VAPING ETC: Not allowed WIFI: Rural wifi is spotty at times. No refunds unfortunately. Refer to the 3 ring binder on how to reset the wifi router. RURAL LIVING has a lot of advantages. But some things like appliance repairs, service calls, take a bit more time up here please alert us ASAP so we can get the ball rolling. If it isn’t an emergency, but needs attention, refer to the 3 ring binder on how to handle this. A/C: Please do not leave running when you aren’t in the home. Please make sure all windows and doors are closed while using. Upon departure, please return home to temp setting specified in 3 ring binder.
