Elysium, sea view, characterful cottage

Elysium, a charming holiday home in Falmouth, is perfect for a family of four or two couples. The open-plan living area boasts ocean views, with calming colors and coastal artworks. Upstairs, the bright double and twin bedrooms provide comfort, with sea views from the master. Enjoy alfresco dining on the courtyard, with panoramic harbour views, or cozy up by the wood-burner on rainy days. The space Open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area The sitting room has two sofas, a 32″ TV and wood burner, a dining table with four chairs, and two windows with gorgeous views that stretch out over Falmouth harbour. The Kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, slimline dishwasher, microwave, and an under-counter fridge with ice box. Side decking Bench, table and chairs for breakfast al fresco. Utility shed Housing washing machine, tumble dryer, boiler, parasol and deckchairs. Stairs to the first floor Bedroom one King-size (5ft) bed with bedside tables, lamps, hairdryer, chair, clothes storage sea views and en suite shower room. En Suite Shower room Large walk in shower with a rainfall shower head and a handheld shower head, hand basin, vanity unit, WC and heated towel rail. Bedroom two King-size (5ft) zip and link bed, bedside table, lamp, hairdryer, wardrobe and sea views. If you would like the bed split into two singles please advise at least a week before arrival. Please note that the single beds are 2ft6 wide. Family Bathroom Bath with shower over, heated towel rail, WC, and sink. Front courtyard Garden Courtyard garden with Mediterranean plants, with sea views, table, chairs, parasol, two reclining seats and two cushion seats for sunbathing and relaxing. Weber charcoal bbq, a further bench and cupboard for housing the cushions. Lockable garden gate. Parking For one large car or van (with EV charger – bookable prior to arrival, for an initial setup fee of £30. Usage above this fee will be charged at cost). The parking for Elysium is on the lane level and the cottage is situated high above this, so you are required to ascend 12 or so, fairly steep, stone steps, to get up to the courtyard and then from there another few to reach the front door of the cottage. Bike Store To the back of the house on Vernon Place (accessed via external stone steps) is a lockable bike store, with power socket, so you may bring up to two electric bikes and store them here. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property Other things to note Car Parking: One space in front of Elysium. It is easier to reverse park into this space. Be careful when exiting the property, and visibility both up and down the road is difficult from the driver's perspective. When reversing into the space, please take care not to hit the car charging equipment, which has a protective bracket installed, just in case. This space doesn’t require a permit. From the parking space are around 12 steps up to the courtyard (the top few have no hand rail) and another few from there to the front door. We do not advise that this cottage is suitable for anyone with children under the age of 5 or with mobility issues. Electric Car Charger: The Zappi electric car charger is available for our guests to use. There is an upfront fee of £30 when booking Elysium for electric cars. The car charger is set to Fast Charge. This means that it will use a combination of electricity from the grid and any available solar energy to charge your car. We will deduct from your deposit any electricity used for charging the car over and above the £30. The rates are 40 pence per kilowatt for any grid electricity used and 25 pence per kilowatt for any solar electricity used.
