Description

Welcome to the sweetest retreat in Olde Town Arvada! Little Bear Bungalow is your private oasis in the perfect location. A 5-star stay with charming, relaxed-luxury decor, quality amenities, a renovated garage workspace, fenced back yard with Weber grill, dining area, outdoor games, kids play house, and fire pit. Step out to cafés, breweries, shops, parks, and trails right outside your door. The perfect base to enjoy local charm and explore Denver, Boulder, Golden, Red Rocks, and the Rockies! The space The rocking chair front porch is an excellent spot for morning coffee and to wave hello to neighbors. The open living, kitchen, and dining space will capture your heart with its professionally designed interiors built for comfort and ease. A purposeful space that’s both family friendly and luxurious. This adorable bungalow also offers two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a twin XL bunk over queen. All beds include Dreamcloud mattresses and comfortable cotton and linen bedding. There are also an extra fold-out twin-sized bed and a pack-n-play if needed. Each bedroom has a wall-mounted smart TV, fan, closet, suitcase rack, and dresser. There are two full bathrooms that are both brand new in 2024, one with a tub and shower combo (main floor) and the other with a glass-enclosed shower (downstairs) as well as full sized laundry machines. The well-equipped chef's kitchen includes new cabinets and appliances in 2024, as well as everything you need to quickly prepare family meals. You'll find upgrades and extras such as ceramic cookware, a pull-out spice drawer with spices, several pantry essentials, coffee, tea, snacks, a Crockpot, an electric teapot, a smoothie blender, and a rice cooker, just to list a few. Your host loves cookbooks and has purchased some of her favorites for the home, including two Colorado classics. (Homemade green chile, anyone? Yes, please!) There are glasses, ceramic plates for the adults, and plastic dishes and cups for the kiddos. We also provide a high chair on an as-needed basis, just let us know. Coal the Bear, our friendly resident mascot who sits up on the roof of the garage, welcomes you to the backyard oasis where you can enjoy ping-pong, cornhole, a Solostove firepit, a Weber grill, a 6-seat dining area, a cozy pergola with string lights and sectional sofa, unique kids' playhouse, outdoor wireless speakers, optional outdoor movie setup, and more. We provide grill utensils and fun extras such as sidewalk chalk, marshmallow sticks, and popcorn buckets so your family can make unforgettable memories together at Little Bear! You’ll fall in love with the walkability of Olde Town and nearby attractions. Park your car in the private driveway or on the street in front of the house, walk across Ralston Ave. at the crosswalk, and explore the shops and restaurants. Grab a fresh pastry at Rheinlander German Bakery, enjoy authentic tacos and guac at Teocalli, unwind during happy hour at Homegrown, and head over to Scrumptious for some of the best ice cream our family has tasted anywhere. (Let us know what you think!) Arvada hosts art festivals, farmer's markets, car shows, and other events throughout the year, so check your calendar or ask your host what may be taking place during your stay. But you don't have to cross Ralston for amazing Olde Town eats. Grab a Bonfire Burrito right next door (coming soon), or walk down to Yak and Yeti, a local favorite for Indian and Nepali cuisine. Just around the corner, we recommend you take in an impromptu round of disc golf at Memorial Park's well known Johnny Roberts tournament course. We provide a shoulder pack with discs for our guests to use, so you can blend in with the locals. (Even if you don't really know how to play, it'll be our little secret.) Within walking distance is also Ralston Central Park, a 20-acre outdoor space with a large playground, trails, picnic tables, and a popular splash pad open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Outdoor recreation in the area includes nearby tennis and pickleball, bike trails, hiking, skiing, boating, and hunting. For lucky hunters, Steve's Meat Market is just two blocks from the home. Staying at Little Bear, you'll enjoy close proximity (about a 25-minute drive each) to destination towns, Boulder and Golden, which we recommend visiting during your stay. Or, take the 3 minute walk to the light rail station and travel just five stops into Denver's Union Station, where you can visit the Denver Zoo and other downtown attractions. The Mile High rail stop puts you close to Empower Field, where you can catch a Broncos game and enjoy a beer or two without having to drive home. To visit nearby Red Rocks and Continental Divide, just drive about 15-20 minutes down I-70 West. Better yet, plan your trip around a favorite live performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. Boulder Falls is an easy-access, family-friendly attraction just 45 minutes from the house. Vail offers a delightful day trip, just a 1.5-hour drive from Arvada, a straight shoot directly along I-70. Breckenridge is also a 1.5-hour drive from Little Bear. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more central, amenity-rich, and convenient stay along Colorado’s breathtaking front range. If you must work while here, we offer our converted, detached garage, designed to be a quiet, remote work/school environment that doubles as a hangout space after hours. Did you happen to know? Because of the rock and mineral-rich terrain, one out of every two homes in Colorado has unsafe radon levels! That's why we’ve installed a radon remediation and monitoring system that guarantees radon levels well under the set safety standards. So you don't have to worry about radon during your stay here. Rest assured, Little Bear Bungalow is owned and managed by thoughtful, experienced, and attentive, 5-star hosts (read Amanda's past reviews) who have owned several wildly successful vacation rentals throughout the years. You can relax knowing that you and your family are in good hands and that your comfort will be our top priority during your stay at The Bear. We look forward to hosting you! Guest access The entire property, including the house, fully fenced backyard, and converted garage office/ bonus room, is yours to enjoy during your stay. You will also have free driveway parking and additional free street parking in front of the house. There is a locked basement storage room that is inaccessible to guests.
