Vibrant Vintage Vans: Bird watchers delight.

This unique accomodation is anything but ordinary. Relive those yesteryear holiday vibes in one of our beautiful fully renovated mid century caravans. With a delicious king size bed, and delightful kitchenette and dining areas, you might not want to leave. The vans are parked in our stunning half acre gardens in Glenbrook, surrounded by magnificent trees, lush vegetation, a meandering creek, and hosting a variety of colourful parrots, a handsome resident bower bird and the lagoon across road. The space DORIS is a truly gorgeous mid century vintage caravan. Doris the Viscount was renovated during the first Covid lockdown. Doris is decorated in apricot and white, she is a delight to travel and sleep in with comfortable bedding, good ceiling ventilation, a fan for cooling and airflow, and a small blower heater which we found substantial even in middle of winter in Victoria. .(no air conditioner in this 1960’s lady) With a generous king size bed and all the things you need in the little kitchen, plus a bbq, you will be more than comfortable to “camp out” in DORIS while you explore the beautiful Glenbrook village and surrounds, or take off to investigate the wonderful towns and scenic wonders in the Blue Mountains. VANDA is a newly restored 1966 Franklin caravelle, and also fitted out with much the same facilities and decorated in gorgeous shades of teal, with a beautiful king size bed, kitchenette and all the comforts needed. With one wardrobe in each caravan, we suggest you pack lightly, however we can find space for your luggage if needed. We are open to you bringing along your furry friend if you provide us with some information, and can discuss details prior to us accepting your booking. We love animals and do have secure areas. Guest access Guests who stay in Doris or Vanda will have access to our laundry/shower room located on the side veranda of the house, a short walk away. This has access from our back veranda steps and will be locked off to the house for your privacy. As in a caravan park, guests in Doris and Vanda will use the same bathroom facilities, which has a toilet, shower and wash basin, as well as laundry facilities.. If the studio (THE BOWER) is not being rented, you may have access to the private bathroom at the front of the studio. Other things to note Guests for Doris and Vanda will be directed to park at back gate of our property so their car is close to the van. Details will be forwarded before check in. Please note: our mountains garden is alive with birds, lizards, possums and garden insects such as butterflies, moths, bees etc, so if you don’t like nature this is not the place for you. 🐛 🦜 🦋 🦎 🌴 we are approx 23 minute walk from Glenbrook station, town and its cafes and cinema, with the pool, skatepark, bowling club, Lappo pub and a variety of restaurants and a convenience store close by.
