In the idyllic Troidkasten am Grandsberg you can relax in peace with your whole family or celebrate your birthday and other special occasions. The space Almost at the top of the 860 m high Grandsberg, one of the highest elevations of the Bavarian Vorwald, lies the listed Troidkasten, a former granary. Dating back to around 1830, lovingly renovated and expanded for today, you still don't have to do without the Internet and modern technology and can cook together in the kitchen whatever you like. Cozy evenings are guaranteed by the rustic wood-burning stove in the common room. The Troidkasten is located in the municipality of Schwarzach in Lower Bavaria and is in the immediate vicinity of our inn, the Grandsberger Hof, where you can enjoy a great menu in a fascinating ambience. The approximately 125 m² vacation home offers overnight accommodation for 14 people. The ground floor consists of an open-plan dining room with two large tables, TV, sofa and rustic wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. There is also a bathroom with toilet and shower. On the 2nd floor there are two bedrooms with a double bed each, a quadruple room and a bathroom with a large shower and another toilet. The attic with balcony offers additional sleeping options. The terrace is great for grilling (gas grill is available) and cozy sitting together. The property offers space for children. Dogs are also welcome here. Chickens, cows and sometimes horses are kept on a meadow directly opposite the vacation home. A beautiful pond (not a bathing pond) on the property can be used to relax. The Grandsberg offers you a great opportunity to get to know the Lower Bavarian region and enjoy the breathtaking views up to the Alps in fine weather. In addition to this visual treat, the Grandsberg with its large forest area around the Hirschenstein, the highest mountain of the Bavarian Vorwald at 1092 m, inspires with its natural beauty.
