Petite Cottage near Warren dunes

Charming European inspired cottage nestled in the woods on the path to Lake Michigan’s sandy beaches in Warren Dunes. The house is well located to explore all of the seasons Michigan has to offer. In the summer it can act as a beautiful beach house 15 min walk through the woods to the hiking trails, paddle boarding and glorious beaches of Warren Dunes Start Park. In the fall, perfectly positioned for apple picking, pumpkin mazes at Dingles, and ten minutes from wine tasting at Tabor Hill. The space In this home we believe in the ethos that airbnb was built upon. The ideology that, everyone can belong. That airbnb’ing means inviting guest in your home and treating them as if they were a close friend or family. This is a time before the investors saturated, the market churning out sterile, empty, carbon copy apartments at a profit. Homes that no longer felt like home and lacked the cultural diversity and sense of “belonging” that made every airbnb feel unique. In our homes the cabinets are stocked with dried goods and sundries for you to use. So if you go to that farm in Michigan and want to bake a pie with those apples you bought, your welcome to use whatever is there to make that reality come true. It is our home and we are sharing it with you. All that we ask if a cabinet is locked, please respect our privacy and leave it closed. Everything else is for use, to make you feel comfortable sharing our home. We are a friendly family home, equipped with baby equipment and tons of toys, books, games for your children can enjoy! The cottage has a first floor consisting of a large sun filled living room, kitchen, sunroom, a bathroom with deep soaking tub and two bedrooms. The master bedroom is equipped with a desk and a king bed, and the second room is set up with a queen bed and small desk. The first floor has central air and heat in each room with the exception of the sunroom. The sunroom is equipped with a fireplace. The second floor has a large tv viewing/playroom, a bathroom with a shower, and a third bedroom equipped with two full beds and a twin. The third bedroom has a portable air conditioner. The playroom has a fan. Both keep the floor cool in the summer, and there is an addition of baseboard heating in the winter. The outdoor area has both lounge chairs and rocking chairs for relaxation and bird watching. The back of the house is equipped with a Weber grill, and a Traeger Smoker as well as a wooden dining table and chairs for alfresco dining. The wooded yard features a large fire pit perfect for making s’mores. The house features a Tesla mobile charger, both inside and outside the garage. The house is located right off of Red Arrow Highway, a few minutes drive from the Sawyer exit and the antique shops that dot the highway. The dunes and the beach can be reached via car in two minutes or by walking around 15 through the dune path. The cottage is centrally located for Wineries, Eating in both Sawyer and other Harbor towns Like Union Pier Harbert and Lakeside all reachable in a 10 minute drive. Less than 7 miles from Journeyman Distillery, Tabor Hill Winery, and 15 min from New Buffalo dining and shopping. Local Pour Michigan wine tasting room, and Out There and The Historian cocktail bars are a stones throw away. Guest access Guest are allowed to use all areas inside the cottage and the surrounding exterior areas. The bunk house is not for use.
