Tucked away from the bustle of nearby amenities, the stylish Annexe offers guests a calm place to relax, with everything you might want to do within easy reach. King size beds; a comfortable living/dining/work area; a well-equipped kitchen; outdoor space with views across fields and access to walks through the rural countryside. Walking distance to Braintree Village for shops and restaurants; 20 minutes by car to Stansted airport, Chelmsford and Colchester or an hour to the coast or London. The space A large two storey annexe a few metres from the host's property in case you need anything but completely detached and with a separate entrance and key safe so you can come and go as you please, all hidden behind large, secure entrance gates. There's a large living / dining area with comfortable seating for 6 on sofas and armchairs or around the large dining table. Put your feet up and watch something on the smart TV, play some board games or challenge each other to a table football match. There's toys and books for younger children, free and reliable wifi access for the teenagers and everything to meet the dog's needs including some lovely rural walks just beyond the back gate. In the fully equipped kitchen there's all you'd need to cook a full family dinner - and a Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Coop and M&S food within a short drive - but we've plenty of local takeaways that deliver or restaurants within a short walk or drive if you don't feel like cooking. Outside you've your own patio area with table and chairs and a large garden space for children and dogs to run around in. If you venture out beyond the main gates, you can safely get by foot to Braintree Garden Centre or Fowlers Farm pub (10 minutes walk) or to Braintree Village retail centre (20 minutes walk) or catch a train from Braintree Freeport (20 minutes walk) to Braintree town, Colchester and the beautiful Essex coast or to Chelmsford and on to London Liverpool Street. Please note the property would be suitable for those with low mobility but take into account the following: - it is level access, bar one low kerb, from the car park to the front door - about 20 metres - there is a small step and threshold to enter the property - photographed - the main doorway is 30 inches wide - there is a ground floor bedroom with a separate ground floor bathroom that has a walk in shower with a small step to access it - photographed - to get upstairs there are handrails either side of the stairs - the upstairs bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower over the bath Guest access Our guests have full use of the property bar one storage room that is not shown in the listing. There is also a spacious shared garden with access to open fields and footpaths at the back of the Annexe and a patio area to relax on. Other things to note Children are very welcome here and we can provide a high chair, potty, travel cot, cutlery and toys and books but there is a glass dining table and coffee table that are sturdy but don't agree with small heads. The garden is secure and there is a shared trampoline and swing that children can use at your own risk. A child counts as one of the 4 guests we can host unless they are sleeping in the travel cot and both beds are king size and do not convert to twins. We share our garden with our guests and have two small dogs who have access to it and two children who also like to play outside. We welcome your four legged friends if they are well behaved but would be grateful if you could pick up any mess. The garden is completely secure and should contain all but the biggest dogs who like to jump fences. There are some great footpaths near the property for walking your dog but these can get muddy so bring suitable footwear. There is plenty of parking at the front of the premises and it is secured by large gates that require a key fob to open and close.
