Lighthouse Cottage

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located townhome. Just 30 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens amusement park. 5 minutes away from Christopher Newport University. 15 minutes away from Fort Eustis, Langley Air Force Base, and the nearest public beach. 45 minutes away from Virginia Beach. Close to public transit stops. The space The whole place includes wifi. There are smoke alarms and CO detectors on every floor and in every bedroom. The First Floor - The Living Room has a beautiful fireplace that is strictly there for the aesthetic - it is not for use. There is a flatscreen TV with a Roku. We keep a few games and some local travel pamplets in the TV stand. The Dining Room has a reading nook, a table with 4 chairs, and 2 poufs. We keep a few workout items in the tan pouf. The Kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, and basic cooking utensils. In addition to these, we provide a Keurig machine, a drip coffee maker, a rice cooker, a small crock pot, a toaster, a handheld electric mixer, and a magic bullet blender. There is a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. We keep a fire blanket under the sink. The Washer and Dryer are on this floor. There is a fire extinguisher located above the dryer. The Half Bath is on this floor. There is a small First Aid Kit located in the bottom drawer. The Water Heater closet is left unlocked. It holds a broom, dustpan, mop, and small vacuum. The Second Floor - We have two bedrooms on the second story that are connected by a full-sized bathroom. One Bedroom has a king bed with a usb port and a usb-c charging port in the headboard. There are 2 closets, one dresser, and 2 nightstands in this room. There is also a flatscreen TV with a Roku, an electric piano, a sink, and a mirror ensuite. The second room has a queen bed. The closet has a dresser, ironing board, iron, and extra pillows and blankets. There is also a workspace in this room. There is a desk and we provide a computer monitor that can be connected to your laptop (please bring anything you need to do this - like an HDMI cord). The Backyard - The backyard is small and cozy. There is a Weber Grill available for use. There is a sun umbrella, lights, a coffee table, and cushioned seating. Behind the gate, there is a short dirt path with trees, bushes, and often flowers. Guest access The entire place is yours to use, with the exception of 2 locked supply closets and the fireplace. Other things to note No Animals on the property. If we realize there are animals, a $200 fee will be charged. No Parties, a $200 fee will be charged. No smoking of any kind inside the property, a $600 cleaning fee will be charged if evidence of smoking indoors.
