En-suite top floor in Presteigne’s historic centre
Description
This beautifully curated space is ideally located in the hart of Presteigne. You’ll have the top floors entirely to yourself. The accommodation is arranged over two levels, with an en-suite and dressing room set on the upper floor. Passing through the main house, you’ll see a display of antiques and decorative pieces—part of what makes the experience here so unique. There’s a fridge and kettle, along with tea, coffee, and treats. Access is via the main house, leading to your private rooms. The space Ivy House is a beautifully historic home, with records dating back to 1624 (and parts believed to be even older). Its timbered interior is full of character, and the house is thoughtfully styled with antiques and curios, creating a unique and atmospheric stay. Your rooms are set on the top floors, with lovely high ceilings and a sense of calm and privacy. As with many period properties, there are a couple of lower doorways along the way—so taller guests may need to mind their heads! Located on Broad Street in the charming border town of Presteigne, Ivy House sits in the heart of the Welsh Marches, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Known as the “Gateway to Wales,” the town offers independent shops, a welcoming community feel, and cultural highlights including the Presteigne Festival and Sheep Music Festival. For a relaxed afternoon, the award-winning The Judge’s Lodging Museum is well worth a visit. Guest access Guest access is through the main house. The rooms are on the top floors and completely self contained. You’ll have access to the garden and garden room and can discover a medieval burgage plot which is still the original size During your stay I will be on site during your stay Other things to note There is free on-street parking available for your convenience. I have three small, friendly dogs who live on the property. They may be excited to greet you on arrival, but they are well-behaved and will then settle down (usually on my sofas!) and won’t have access to your space. If you are planning to bring a dog (or two), please contact me in advance, as my dogs can be reactive to larger breeds. Thank you for your understanding.
