Independent Studio in Quiet, Characterful Village

Welcome to my home in the historic heart of Valliguières, right next to the château within the fortress walls. Enjoy a unique stay with direct access to nature for hiking, cycling, and kayaking on the Gardon near the Pont du Gard. Conveniently located for visiting Uzès (20 minutes), Nîmes (30 minutes), and Avignon (30 minutes), as well as Montpellier and Arles (1 hour). Ideal for a romantic getaway, an active holiday, or a work stay. History, comfort, and charm await you! The space Accessible through a vaulted wine cellar, this bright and private studio features its own bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The sofa converts into a bed, making it suitable for couples, families, or friends. In addition, you’ll have access to the shared spaces in the main house: - Terrace - Living room with fireplace - Sitting room with sofa and poufs (vinyl music listening available upon request) - Several toilets Breakfast Option: Enjoy breakfast between 8:00 and 10:00 am on the terrace (weather permitting) or in the living room. It includes fresh French pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee or tea. For early risers, breakfast can be served before 8:00 am upon request. Special breakfast requests are welcome—just let me know! Dinner Option: As I love cooking. Making a home made 4-course meal is an absolute pleasure. I'm working with seasonal and local products. The menu changes monthly and can be adapted to any preferences. Let me know in advance if a dinner is a wanted option. Summer: The terrace is perfect for relaxing, enjoying an aperitif, or tasting local wine. Sun loungers are available, and the west-facing terrace offers beautiful sunsets. An outdoor shower is available for cooling off, or I can recommend swimming spots in the Gardon nearby, just 15 minutes away by car. Winter: Mild winters are ideal for hiking, cycling, and discovering the local gastronomy. The house features a large fireplace for a warm and cozy atmosphere. Location: Nestled in the old center of the village of Valliguières, right next to the château within the medieval fortress. The street in front of the house is pedestrian-only, ensuring a peaceful setting. Village Center: A bakery, a restaurant, and a small grocery store are just a 5-minute walk away. The grocery shop even offers tastings of local wines. On Wednesdays and Sundays, a pizza truck comes to the village.
