Dales Cottage is a beautiful 2 bedroom cottage in the small hamlet of Appersett, just under a mile from the town of Hawes. Recently refurbished with a new kitchen, travertine tiled lounge & hallway, inglenook fireplace with log burner and recent decoration throughout the house is ideal for families & couples alike. The space 2 bedrooms, one with a super king size bed that separates into 2 singles and one with standard double. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer / dryer, slow cooker, dual drawer air fryer, kettle & toaster. The lounge has a wood burning stove, extendable oak dining table with 4 chairs, 43" smart TV, 2 x 2 seater sofas & a Bose Bluetooth speaker. Heating and hot water are provided by the oil fired boiler & cylinder situated in the eaves off the bathroom. Also in this space is a travel cot. Please note that due to limited headroom there is no separate shower, only a shower / bath handset.. There is plenty of room in the double height, vaulted entrance hall for boots & coats etc. The front of the cottage is south facing and is a great place to relax with a glass of wine after one of the many walks around the area. There is no enclosed area or garden adjacent to the cottage, the green by the river is only 50 yds away & is ideal for walking dogs. Guest access The entire cottage is at your disposal Other things to note Hawes is a thriving Dales market town with a great sense of community. There are 4 pubs,, all of which provide food & welcome dogs. There are several cafes, 3 of which are dog friendly. The Pantry, situated over the Spar, serves particularly good food but unfortunately doesn't accept dogs. There is also Hawes social club which is great for watching sporting events. There are loads of places to visit on the doorstep, the Wensleydale Creamery & cheese shop, Aysgarth Falls, Askrigg, Bainbridge, Hardraw Force (England's highest single drop waterfall) and Semerwater to name but a few. A little further afield is Whitescar Caves & Ingleton waterfall trails. For the keen walker there are many footpaths around the area, most notably the Pennine Way which passes close by.
