The Hideaway is a private, tranquil 5-acre retreat that is handicapped accessible, pet friendly, and has high speed fiber internet. Conveniently located in central VT near historic Barre, I-91 and I-89, this is the perfect place for outdoor adventures- hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and relaxing by the fire pit. This 1 bedroom 1 bath home sleeps 5 with a queen bed, futon, and sleeper sofa. It has a well-stocked kitchen with a Keurig, microwave, air fryer, new range and fridge and washer and dryer The space Welcome to the Hideaway! The home is handicapped accessible and has a ramp that leads to the front door. The inviting front porch is perfect in the morning with a cup of coffee or to wind down in the evening with a glass of wine. There is a brand new barbecue grill on the front porch if you would like to do some grilling. A fire pit with Adirondack chairs is in the side yard. There is some wood to use and feel free to explore the yard to find more. Light a fire, roast some marshmallows, grab a beverage and enjoy the peacefulness at the Hideaway! Inside, you will find the living room with a TV that has built in streaming and a propane stove for those times you want to watch a movie by the cozy fire. There is high speed fiber internet if you need to search the web for cool adventures. Some board games are available on the shelf for the whole family to enjoy. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, cookware, Keurig coffee machine, air fryer, microwave, crock pot, toaster, and blender. There are some Keurig pods for you to enjoy, but you are welcome to bring your own. There is a washer and dryer for you to use if you need to do laundry during your stay but let’s hope you don’t need to so that you can fully enjoy your vacation. The laundry room leads to a three-season room that is currently unfinished. We are working on getting the ceiling insulated and finished. It will be a great space where you can sit and enjoy nature and the peaceful and wooded backyard. This 1-bedroom home has a queen bed with closet, a small futon that folds out into a bed (child size) and the sleeper sofa in the living room pulls out into a bed. There are 2 cots available to use for additional sleeping areas if needed for bigger groups. If you enjoy outdoor living this is the perfect place for you! This home is just 15 min from historic Barre, 25 minutes from the state capital of Montpelier Vermont, and 20 min from both I-89 and I-91, as well as to nearby NH. You can go skiing 10 minutes away at Northeast Slopes, the oldest continuously operating ski tow in the USA. You can check out where the Beetlejuice movie was filmed in the small town of East Corinth in 15 min. The quaint town of Stowe is only 45 minutes away where you can find skiing or snowboarding places galore! We have worked hard to create and maintain a place that will help make your vacation memorable. Come stay at the Hideaway and enjoy beautiful Vermont! Other things to note * Please look over the brief manual in the house to ensure that you have the best stay. * Please be sure to add your dogs to the reservation.
