Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway set in the walled grounds of an Elizabethan Manor House in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. Newly renovated with secure on site parking, cosy logburner and shared use of outdoor swimming pool (heated May-August) and tennis court. Easy public transport access to both Nottingham and Loughborough.. A county getaway perfect for walkers, cyclist, couples/families or even cricket fans. Guest access You will have access to Manor Court and shared use of the swimming pool and tennis court. Access to the on-site games room may be able available on request for an additional fee. Other things to note Manor Court is set within the grounds of an Elizabethan Manor House which dates back to the 1500s and is listed as one of the most important houses in Nottingham. We fully renovated it in 2024, retaining some original features while adding some 21st century comforts including electric underfloor heating, logburner, wi-Fi and heating for the swimming pool. The space provides accommodation for 2-4 people. It has one master bedroom with double bed and a second bedroom with sofa bed and desk so can be used as either a bedroom or work space. The large open plan living space has a logburner, TV and corner sofa providing ample seating for 4 people. The kitchen has a breakfast bar, fridge-freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and microwave. Fully equipped with everything you might need for your stay. Outside there is large patio area around the pool with both a seated dinning area and outdoor sofas. There is also the option to access an on site Games room with pool table, table tennis, darts and table football on request for an additional charge. This can be discussed if you are interested. Parking is provided adjacent to the property within the walled garden. Surrounding area Costock has its own pub, The Generous Britton, serving tasty food and only a few minutes walk away. East Leake, which is about a 15 minute walk away, has a number of shops, cafes and restaurants including a Co-op. The nearby village of Wymeswold offers 2 additional pubs as well as the well renowned Hammer & Pincers Restaurant, recently awarded 3 AA Rosettes and an absolute must visit for any foodies. The surrounding countryside offers ample walking and cycling opportunities as well as only being a 20 minute bus ride from Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and both the Nottingham Forest and Notts County Football Ground. Buses run regularly between Nottingham and Loughborough and are a 5 minute walk away. These link both towns railway stations. The property is also conveniently near East Midlands Airport.
