Welcome to ‘Cabin Under the Stars’; a cosy, 2-bedroom Scandinavian style pine log cabin situated in Trawsfynydd Holiday Village, set within the stunningly beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Snowdonia is renowned for its natural beauty, rugged mountains, serene lakes, beaches and lush forests. Offering a tranquil escape, ‘Cabin Under the Stars’ is the perfect base for family holidays, romantic breaks for two, nature enthusiasts, hikers, and those looking to unwind in peaceful surroundings. The space The Cabin takes its name from being situated within a designated 'dark sky' area; there is no street lighting and on a clear night you can see stars, planets, the Milky Way, and often shooting stars. The night sky here is stunning; we provide a telescope for your enjoyment. Family Friendly 'Cabin Under the Stars' is family friendly, and is perfect for children ages 3+. Children love the woodland themed bedroom and having their own bunk beds, as well as a range of games, books and DVDs to entertain them. The large, on site playground is great for outdoor play, and in the nearby field, the resident Shetland ponies may come and say hello. Teenagers can enjoy using the sound bar to listen to their favourite music, or joining in the family fun playing board games. Please ensure that your child is old enough to sleep on a top bunk. Dog Friendly ‘Cabin Under the Stars’ is dog friendly, we welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra cost. The cabin is a perfect base for those holidaying with their dogs, whether it's exploring the local towns such as Beddgelert, dog friendly beaches such as Black Rock Sands, or the nearby nature trails in Coed y Brenin. To ensure a comfortable stay for your dogs, we provide food/water bowls, treats and dog blankets for them to join you relaxing on the sofa. We also provide a 'mud daddy' for cleaning muddy paws after adventures in nature. There is also a large, free, secure off-lead dog walking area in the holiday village. Cabin Amenities The cabin interiors consist of greens and neutrals, reflecting the surrounding nature, and is a modern, yet cosy take on a traditional log cabin. The Welsh artwork features local areas of interest, ensuring guests feel on holiday as soon as they arrive. The dining room faces West, with guests enjoying meals at the hand-crafted dining table, with stunning views of the Rhinog mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped for your self-catered holiday and includes; oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, slow cooker, a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, a hot cup machine, stylish dinnerware and cooking utensils. The cosy living area has TV with Freesat, a Bluetooth sound bar to play your own music, smart DVD player and free 4G WIFI. The cabin has two bedrooms, one with off-set single bunk beds, decorated with calming greens and woodland animal artwork, perfect for children. The double bedroom is a relaxing space, with a memory foam bed, soft linens and faux fur throw for a comfortable sleep. Throughout the cabin, there are fitted heaters with thermostats, along with a faux log burner and faux candles for cosy, warm evenings in during the cooler months. For those who prefer to dine outdoors, the enclosed decking area faces West towards the mountains, with a table, seating and a parasol for guests to enjoy meals and drinks. The cabin has an open garden to the rear and a private parking space on the driveway. As part of your stay, we provide guests with sun chairs to use on days out, perfect for the beach or a picnic. For cosy evenings in, the TV has freesat and a smart dvd player. The cabin also has a variety of DVDs, board games and books for both children and adults to enjoy. To help make your stay more comfortable, we provide all bed linen, tea towels, a hair dryer, toilet paper, cleaning materials, iron and ironing board. Tea and coffee is provided. Guests only need to bring their own towels (and your dog's towel and favourite bed for a good night’s sleep). The Holiday Village The holiday village is a peaceful setting, with stunning views, and has plenty of amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. The village has a quiet bar/café with a large decking area with views over the valley. You will also find a laundrette, a small shop selling food and drink, and a large children's outdoor play area. The cabin is well situated as a base to explore North Wales, with something to suit everyone, whether it's days at the beach, hiking, family friendly days out or exploring nearby towns. We provide guests with a comprehensive ‘welcome guide’, which includes our personal and guest recommendations, including restaurants, pubs, local activities and places of interest. Guest access The entire cabin is available to you during your stay, along with the amenities in the holiday village. Car parking is next to the cabin. Other things to note The bedrooms are small. We have had guests who were very happy with the accommodation whose child had limited mobility and used a wheelchair chair (see reviews). Adult accessibility for anyone with severely limited mobility may be a challenge in the double bedroom.
