Come and enjoy the tranquility and stunning views at our hobby farm in Glamorgan Vale. Situated just 1 hour from Brisbanes CBD and 30mins from Ipswich we have the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. With only 10 mins drive to each Fernvale, Lowood and Marburg, there is plenty of things to see and do. For the outdoor enthusiasts the Brisbane Valley Rail trail and Wivenhoe Dam. Or simply relax and meet our friendly sheep and chickens while cooking up some Brisbane Valley meats on the BBQ! The space Our guest house is a granny flat situated underneath the main house. The main house is a 1930s Queenslander which was the first house built on our street, the street is named after the first owners of our house. The granny flat is only 3 years old and was built in when the property was renovated and lifted. The house is situated on 3 acres where we keep our sheep and chickens and sometimes the neighbors cows! There is no air con but the house stays at a pretty constant temperature being "underground" and is always nice and cool. There are ceiling fans for the summer and heaters for the winter. Guest access You are welcome to use the outdoor area at the back of the guest house and explore the garden. We just ask you do not open any gates where the animals are kept to ensure the safety and security of all. You will not have access to the main house upstairs. Other things to note We are a young family living in the main house above and will be out in the garden to feed the animals etc. You do have your own separate outdoor dining area but it is not fenced off from the main yard. Access to the property is through a shared front gate but seperate door to enter the guest house. Parking is on the main street on the grass- designated parking spot coming soon!! There is no stove indoors. There is a kettle and toaster and the outdoor BBQ has 1 side burner for cooking with pots if required. There is also a fire pit and firewood available for use. A lighter and firelighters are in the kitchen.
