Nestled in a tranquil setting near Algonquin Provincial Park, our private 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage is the perfect retreat for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful getaway. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by an expansive living room with large windows that bathe the space in natural light and offer stunning water views. The open layout seamlessly connects the living area to the spacious kitchen and dining room, making it ideal for family gatherings or intimate dinners. The cottage features three beautifully appointed bedrooms, each offering cozy comfort and privacy. The master suite includes a spacious bathroom across the hall, while the other bedrooms share a well-designed second bathroom. For those who need to stay connected while away, a charming loft workspace provides a quiet and inspiring environment. Step outside onto the expansive deck, where you can unwind with a book, enjoy a meal cooked on the BBQ grill, or simply take in the breathtaking water views. Private parking ensures that your arrival and departure are as stress-free as possible. Whether you're exploring the nearby Algonquin Provincial Park or simply enjoying the peace and tranquility of the cottage, this retreat promises a memorable and rejuvenating experience. Come and make our cottage your home away from home! Guest access Upon arrival, simply use the keypad to access the cottage, allowing for a seamless check in experience. Other things to note Some things to note to ensure a seamless stay: Free parking is available in the front of the house- can comfortably accommodate 3-4 cars. Free wifi is available throughout the cottage. Smart TV is available for streaming shows with your login. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, pots, pans and utensil you'd need to comfortably cook meals. Gas BBQ is available for use on the deck. The washer and dryer is not available for guest use, unless you are a long term guest staying 7 days or more. Fire pit is available for your use in the backyard. Please look up active fire bans in South Algonquin county prior to starting a fire. Please follow all rules accordingly and do not start a fire if there is an active fire ban in place issued by the township or the province, any violations of this will result in your reservation being cancelled and you will be asked to leave. There is a large pond in the back of the house, it is quite beautiful but we do not encourage swimming here and access to the water is difficult due to grassy/marshy land. Galeairy Lake Beach is a short 5 min drive away, and has a beautiful sandy beach with restrooms and picnic tables. There are also many other lakes and rivers all a short drive away from the cottage which are much better suited for both swimming and boating. You can certainly access and use the backyard pond if you like, but if you choose to swim or canoe/kayak, you do so at your own risk. Larger wildlife like wolves, bears, moose and deer have occasionally been seen throughout the property, especially in the fall and winter months -please exercise caution and keep your distance if you see these animals in their natural habitat. As we are in the middle of a forest, we encourage you to keep the doors closed at all times when not in use to deter any small critters or rodents getting into the house. Please keep outside garbage bin (located at the back of the house under deck stairs) closed at all times to deter rodents, raccoons, bears getting in. In the summer months, you may keep the mesh doors and windows open during the day time but we encourage you to close all windows and mesh doors before sunset/nightfall as small bugs/moths are attracted to lights from the house after nightfall. The water for the house is supplied by a well, and there can be a mild sulfur smell to the water at first. If you run the water for 1-2 minutes, the smell will go away. Only the number of guests accounted for on the booking are allowed on the property during the entirety of the reservation - no extra guests allowed. The cottage is designed to accomodate 6 guests but we are flexible on accomodating 1-2 extra guests within reason. Please send us a message to discuss any extra guests over 6 prior to booking. For any extra guests over max of 6, there will be a fee of $65 per person, per night. It is important for us to have the correct number of guests on the booking for insurance purposes, so we encourage guests to be honest about the number of guests in their party. There are external security cameras present to monitor occupancy limits. If we find that there are extra guests that arrive at any time during your stay that are not accounted for on your reservation or were not previously disclosed or discussed with us prior to booking, your reservation will be canceled and you will be asked to leave. No pets allowed. While we love animals, we have one family member with a severe pet fur and dander allergies so we are very strict on this. Guests who bring pets on to the property will be charged $300 deep cleaning fee, their reservation will be cancelled and they will be asked to leave. No smoking inside the house, no parties. This is our family cottage and was built by the labor of love, we ask that you treat it well.
