Guest access Main dirt roads are well grated and are easy to travel by vehicle, foot, bike, or ORV. Other things to note Please note: There is no ferry or boat that goes between Bois Blanc Island and Mackinac Island. The best option would to take a charter plane out of Bois Blanc Island airport over to Mackinac Island. This offers great aerial views of Bois Blanc Island, Mackinac Island, Mackinac Bridge (from a distance) and Lake Huron.
