Riverside Cottage

Relax at this unique and tranquil getaway. Riverside Cottage is a rustically restored historic pickers hut on the mighty Huon River. With incredible character the cottage has been tastefully turned into a cozy place for a restful stay. The property sits on a 6 acre homestead with expansive manicured gardens to roam and has direct access to fishing, swimming, kayaking or exploring along the river’s edge. Pizza cooking facilities, fire pits and plenty of seating dotted around the grounds. The space Old style cottage with all the amenities you will need for a peaceful stay in the Huon Valley. A fireplace or reverse cycle heating will keep you toasty warm as you gaze out to the river and mountains. WIFI, TV and streaming services are available. The cottage has a full kitchen with coffee machine, basic cereals, milk, butter, spreads, eggs (when available) a couple of slices of bread for toasting, tea and coffee which are provided as a complimentary first morning breakfast for your stay. Guest access The property has expansive landscaped gardens which you are welcome to explore at your leisure. It also has direct access to the river if you like bush walking, swimming, kayaking or fishing. You may need walking poles on the track. Access to the river is beyond the large water pond and is a steep incline. Other things to note The property has open dams and direct access to the river which guests need to be conscious of if you have small children. We run a Septic tank system , please don’t flush personal sanitary or other objects down the toilet. A Bin is provided. Please be water wise- tank water only. If you are travelling with a family member other than your spouse and require the pull out bed please message so extra linen is provided.
