Lakefront Family Retreat - Pool and indoor braai

Nestled on the banks of the Swartvlei at Trails End, Sedgefield you will find Leerie Lodge. This rustic family home lends itself to relaxing and spending quality time with your family and friends. Two levels make it an easy home to share for 10 guests. Want to launch your boat, fish, SUP, kayak, swim - you can do it all here. We have 2 kayaks, a communal games room (pool table, dart boards, table tennis table) a lovely size communal swimming pool and a jungle gym for the little ones. The space This charming, rustic home can accommodate up to 10 guests and comprises 5 bedrooms. On the upper level, there are 2 spacious main bedrooms, each furnished with a queen-sized bed. One of these rooms boasts an en-suite bathroom with a shower and toilet, while the third bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds. Guests in these rooms share a bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, and toilet. The lower level offers 2 additional bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and the other with 2 three quarter beds. These rooms share a bathroom with a shower. All linen and bath towels are provided. However, guests are kindly reminded to bring their own swimming towels. The open-plan living area includes a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, crockery, and kettle. A washing machine and dishwasher are available for added convenience. The kitchen flows into a cosy lounge with comfortable seating, a dining table, and a TV. Access to free , capped Wi-Fi is available (with top up options). The home features a wrap-around balcony with an indoor braai area with a large dinning table, perfect for shared meals while enjoying the breathtaking views. Secure parking is available on-site. Guests also have access to the shared communal swimming pool and games room within Trails End Complex. A small playground is also available for the young ones to enjoy. For those wanting to explore the area, the lake is right in front of you and offers opportunities for fishing, kayaking, sailing and boating. Guests have full access to the private jetty within this beautiful estate. Bring along your water toys if you wish. Unfortunately jet skis are not permitted. Biking, beaches, markets, hiking, paragliding, golf and so much more right at your door step. Leerie Lodge is like a home away from home, so please enjoy it and relax with your family and friends. We look forward to welcoming you. Guest access You have access to the whole house at all times. Please also note, there are stairs to navigate from the parked car to the front door and from inside the house to the bottom 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Other things to note This is a strictly non-smoking home; smoking is not permitted inside or on the patio, as smoke can filter through the house. Guests may smoke only on the grass area in front of the house. The property is not suitable for parties or events as within a secure complex. Quiet hours from 23:00 to 07:00 must be observed, and guests are expected to be considerate of neighbors during this time. The total number of 10 guests (infants are included in this maximum number) cannot be exceeded at any time. Unfortunately NO pets are allowed. These are the rules for all guests at Trails End. Please bring along life jackets for the kayaks as well as swimming towels. Please remember, the wifi is capped and can be topped up if needed. Because of our location, the wifi connection can be unstable at times. Please note, we have a smart TV but no DSTV Decoder or streaming services. Please come prepared with these if you enjoy watching TV/movies. Please do not drink the tap water. We provide 20 litres of drinking water and you can refill the containers either at Spar or Oasis in Sedgefield or from the rain tanks on the property (filtered). These can be found as you walk from the house towards the main gate on the left hand side, you would use the one with the hose like attachment on. The braai area can be cleaned daily by staff at Trails End if you wish. Wood can be purchased at Clubhouse. There are stairs to navigate. Check out time is strictly at 10.00 am on day of departure unless arranged otherwise with host.
