Escape with the whole family at this peaceful lakeside home. Unplug in the beauty of Hogan Pond with owned lakefront access. Amazing outdoor space includes pier with floating raft, large patio with outside dining, firepit, tiki bar, kayaks, paddle boards and top notch views. Enjoy 3 bedrooms , full kitchen and dining all while taking in stunning views of the lake. Situated near the end of a private road we are 45 minutes from Portland, 20 minutes from Norway and 5 minutes from Oxford Casino! The space Fill your days with swimming, kayak rides, fires in the firepit, fishing, drinks at the Tiki Bar or simply take in the sunset at the end of the dock. You can take a kayak through the channel on the north end to see cranes, turtles and all types of wild life. The channel leads you to our sister pond Whitney. Hogan and Whitney also have no public boat launch, adding to the privacy. Take a walk or bring your bike down the quiet beautiful dead end road, that has cozy cottages and more lake views. Sit on the beach or the dock and observe Maine's wildlife. We typically sees Ospreys, Bald Eagles, Loons and Great Blue Heron. Fishing at dusk is bountiful and our young daughters always catch something. Note that a Maine fishing license is required. While away from it all you are 10 mins from the nearest Walmart, Grocery (Hannaford) is only 6 mins. You can enjoy dinner and drinks at the local craft Oxbow brewery or try your luck at the Oxford Casino both right around the corner. Just up the road you can catch a race at the Oxford plains speedway. The quaint town of Norway is a 20 minute drive north with plenty of restaurants, cute shops and antiquing This is a three season home closed for winter. The dock will come out in October. The heat source is a wood burning fireplace and an electric wall heater - suitable for fall nights. Water is pumped from the lake and can be used for cooking, showering/brushing teeth, cleaning etc. Drinking water is provided via purified water dispenser.
