Cosy Shepherd’s hut

My aim is to provide a simple budget friendly option for a night away. Recently refurbished simple hut in the Somerset countryside. Views of Glastonbury Tor. Comfy bed, running hot & cold water, electric hob, fridge, private shower & toilet block. Private location with on site parking, lovely local walks, close to amenities. Essentials included but it is glorified camping rather than luxury accommodation. Please read full description & arrival guide to know what you’re booking. The space Small freshly renovated shepherd’s hut with a double bed and foam mattress. Tucked into a family countryside home a mile from Langport. Safe on site parking. This is glamping rather than luxury, all the necessary amenities for a short stay away from any hustle and bustle. Private hot shower and flushing toilet facilities. Decent sized fridge, hot and cold running water, two ring hob for basic cooking. No TV but we do have a projector that can connect to your phone. Electric heater, hot water bottle and blankets provided - can be chilly in winter, please dress appropriately for camping in a hut. Tesco, bakeries, butchers and lovely cafes, takeaways, restaurants and pubs all within a mile or two. Dog friendly (we have 3 who will greet you enthusiastically) although free range poultry on site. The dogs and goose will all loudly say hello to you but are friendly. Comfy seating area with folding table. Outdoor seating and a view of Glastonbury Tor. Set on a 9 acre rural small holding. We are experienced airbnb hosts although finding people want to stay longer term in our other property! Perfect for a simple weekend getaway or overnight stay. We have added a charcoal BBQ, please provide your own charcoal and clean after use using the metal bucket provided. The hut is a simple, budget friendly getaway, please be realistic in your expectations. I’m happy to answer any questions about the accommodation and local area. Guest access Garden area outside the hut and parking space next to it. If bringing a second car please let me know and I will direct you to additional parking. Other things to note Not recommended for very tall guests. Bed is 6’0” long. Shower and toilet are outside but undercover and enclosed, plumbed in and have electric lighting. Not recommended if scared of dogs as ours will come and say hello. Property is next to our house but in a separate bit of the garden. Dogs are welcome as long as they stay not be lead (we have free range poultry) and are not allowed on the furniture :) If booking in winter months please dress appropriately as can be cool sleeping in a hut outside. It is a hut outside so there will be some interaction with nature! I can’t stress enough, this is a basic hut not luxury accommodation. Most people are very happy with this - as seen in reviews - but please be realistic in your expectations.
