Things to Do: Work from the Farm: You can work from inside the Farmhouse or use the spacious balcony. We can arrange an easy chair also for you. There are sufficient electrical sockets in the rooms. If you wish to work under the canopy of big trees or near the cowshed, we can also arrange for that. Trekking: Enjoy a morning or evening trek to the hilltop, taking in the majestic mountain views and surrounding greenery. Nature Walks: Guided walks can be arranged upon request, subject to weather and guide availability (reasonable fees may apply). Relaxation: Immerse yourself in nature’s grandeur, surrounded by cows and towering trees. This is the perfect setting for meditation, relaxation, reading, writing, or painting. Photography: Capture stunning shots at the many picturesque locations around the farm. You can witness mesmerizing sight of paddy fields laced with Palmyra Trees! Our property manager will welcome you and assist you throughout your stay. Guests will have access to the entire first floor with a spacious balcony. Please note that the stairs to the first floor is steep. Ground floor is for the personal use of hosts. SUSTAINABLE LIVING EXPERIENCE Welcome to our eco-friendly haven, where we practice Natural Farming by raising indigenous cows. The farm stretches from the farmhouse to the base of a hill, offering direct access to trek and experience breathtaking views. Start your day with the soothing sounds of birds and a beautiful sunrise, followed by a peaceful cup of coffee or tea amidst nature’s splendor. Wander through our mango orchard, and enjoy feeding the cows. Accommodations: Room 1: A versatile living/dining room that transforms into a bedroom with a queen-size bed. Room 2: A cozy bedroom with a bed. Both rooms come with attached bathrooms. In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, we do not provide toilet rolls and discourage their use. Outside you will have your own patio/deck area with table and chairs for dining outside, all with beautiful views across the Farm. For a tranquil experience, we do not offer TV. You will get free Wi-Fi. All mobile networks have good coverage in the Farm. Housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes can be arranged at an extra cost. "CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS" - We expect our guests to keep the premises clean. All the cleaning materials are provided. We can arrange for a cleaning person if needed, at an additional cost. 🍽️Food Our caretaker provides simple Kerala style food for breakfast, lunch & dinner. This will be chargeable. You need to order in advance. Please clean your own dishes. An Electric Kettle & Coffee machine are provided so that you can make your own Tea/Coffee Fridge and Induction cooker can be arranged for long staying guests. Please inform in advance for the same. We encourage a zero single-use plastic policy. Guests are asked to hand over any recyclables to the farm staff at the end of their stay, with a disposal fee of Rs.100. This is a small village and no garbage collection agency is available. Please drop the garbage segregated in the designated places within the Farm. Detailed instructions are in the rooms. Please note that there is no power back up. Power supply is generally reliable. Remember this is the countryside. You may find small animals and insects ,ants, bees, spiders, lizards, etc. Guests have access to all areas of the farm. Due to the rural setting, wildlife encounters are possible, so we ask that you remain in your accommodation from 7 PM to 6 AM. This is going to be a unique experience for you. We intend to do collective action for common good. Please be part of it. HOUSE RULES 1. We discourage dating trips 2. It is ideal for Individuals or couples who are interested to experience Farm life and self-discovery. 3. Smoking is allowed only in the designated areas. 4. We accept booking through Airbnb only. 5. Please maintain cleanliness and help us keep this space welcoming for everyone. 6. Please bring your own towels. Please don’t leave towels/bedsheets on the floor or use as Floor Mats. 7. If there is any damage to the property, please notify us immediately. Any damage will be charged to the guest. 8. No parties or events are allowed without prior approval. 9. Please be kind to our staff and Farm workers. 10. Please turn off Lights/Heater/Fan etc. when not in use. 11. Kindly do not throw plastic litter, glass bottles or any trash in the farm. Guest access Guests have access to the entire upstairs area and 6 acres of lush farmland. The property stretches from the farmhouse to the base of a hill, with direct access for trekking. The farm is home to coconut, mango, and jackfruit trees, along with a diverse array of seasonal flora and fauna. Please note that there will be people around to take care of the farm and cows but we will ensure that this will not affect your privacy. You can also visit our satellite Farm nearby and enjoy the scenic beauty there. Please wear boots always when you walk around the Farm. This Farm is ideal place for it. * How long do you recommend guests stay at the Farm? - We suggest the minimum 3 nights stay for serious work. * Is the second room shared with others? - No, you will have entire first floor once you book. * Do you have more rooms ? - Yes, we have one more room downstairs. Please contact us. * Is it a secluded place? - No, there are houses near the farm. * Do you provide Food? - Yes we give delicious Kerala Food. Thou shalt Visit a local deity – pay a visit to one (or more) of the local deities 9. Thou shalt Tour – day trips to explore the beauty spots (Nelliyampathy/Malampuzha/Parambikulam) 10. Please contact us for discounts for long stays. WEATHER: Summer (March to May): Kollengode experiences warm summers, with daytime temperatures ranging from 30°C to 38°C (86°F to 100°F). While it can get hot, evenings are usually cooler, and the lush greenery of the region provides a refreshing environment. Monsoon (June to September): The monsoon season brings heavy rainfall, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 30°C (75°F to 86°F). The landscape comes alive with vibrant greenery, and the air is cool and fresh. It’s a great time to experience the beauty of Kerala’s rain-soaked countryside. Post-Monsoon/Autumn (October to November): This period offers pleasant weather, with temperatures between 24°C and 32°C (75°F to 90°F). The rains reduce significantly, leaving the surroundings lush and serene. It’s an ideal time for trekking and enjoying the natural beauty. Winter (December to February): Winters are mild and comfortable, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F). The weather is perfect for outdoor activities and exploring the farm and nearby hills. VISITOR POLICY: No visitors are allowed RESPONSIBLE and CONSCIOUS Behavior. We request our guests to be conscious of their actions, and the impact they are having on their surroundings. Be responsible! .We are ok if you want to get your pets along as long as they do not disturb the cows and damage the property. Living in nature includes witnessing the life of insects. We are always there to guide them away from you. Around the property, you can travel with your own private vehicle.
