Our solar-powered home Villa Lilly is located in the village of Pesinggahan, 5 minutes walk from Goa Lawah and (non-swimmable) breaches. This is a low-tourist area where you will be treated to the sights and sounds of Bali village life (including 5am rooster calls - you were warned!) For those interested in authentic Balinese cultural experiences we can arrange local youth dance exhibitions, lessons, and guided trekking. Traditional Balinese or simple western breakfast included! The space Included in the price is cleaning every other day and traditional Balinese breakfast or simple western breakfast (eggs prepared in your preferred style and toast). Villa Lilly's location puts you within steps of Goah Lawah and the fishing beaches. From here you are about 20 minutes drive to the Padang Bai swimming beaches, and 10 minutes from Kusamba Harbor where you can catch the fast boat to Nusa Penida. The village location means you will not find western style eateries nearby. There are, however warungs within easy walking distance. For those seeking western meals you can make your way to Padang Bai (20 minutes drive) or visit the Monkey Bar (15 minutes drive). We can arrange local cultural experiences, including traditional dance lessons, local youth dance exhibitions, and trekking in the vicinity. We also can arrange day tours to nearby places of interest. All proceeds from these activities are returned to the Pesinggahan community. Due to the village location - there are farm animals in the vicinity including roosters that may give you an early wake-up call! Earplugs are recommended if you are a light sleeper. The swimming pool does not have a shallow section, and the steps into the pool are steep. Please be very careful entering the pool. Children must be supervised at all times.
