Take a step back in time with a stay at this historic brick schoolhouse built in 1875. Originally called “schoolhouse #7” on the 1896 Mansfield Map, it was converted to a 2 bedroom home in the mid 1900's. Recently updated with some creature comforts like a fresh new bathroom, unique furniture, and cozy beds. Situated on a nice quiet 1/2 acre lot above a ravine with a babbling creek below. Be cautious of the ravine and hillside, we have fencing to protect guests of the steep hillside. The space There are 2 cozy bedrooms on the second level, and queen size murphy bed on the first floor. There is a fully stocked kitchen and freshly renovated bathroom on the first floor. Also on the main floor is a comfortable living room / dining room. The space provides you with games, a Chesterfield leather sofa, gas log fireplace, record player, and a desk / work station for working remote. There are several steps on the first level to step up into the kitchen or bathroom. Just to communicate any accessibility concerns the first floor isn’t on one flat level. Brand new 6-person hot tub is hot and ready for you to relax in and enjoy! We offer high speed internet as well. Guest access You'll have the entire home and yard to yourself. Other things to note This is a quiet neighborhood and we depend on you to help us be good neighbors! Loud parties are not permitted and quiet outdoor hours are 10pm to 8am. We have a firepit and chairs as well as Cornhole and some outdoor hangout spots, but please keep noise to a minimum in the evenings. Please be cautious of the ravine and hillside in the rear of the property. We have signage and would ask families with young children to use caution and common sense practices with the steep hillside.
