Welcome to your exclusive New York City Style Penthouse experience in the Heart of Downtown Kent! This luxurious loft apartment offers high ceilings, expansive windows, and skylights that flood the space with natural light. Enjoy breathtaking views overlooking Hometown Bank Plaza and Stage. The spacious open-concept layout includes a private bedroom with a king-size bed. Located steps away from Kent State University, the Cuyahoga River and the vibrant downtown, you'll be at the center of it all. The space Guests must climb two, tall flights of stairs to reach the apartment and no other access is available. Please be sure you are aware of this and are willing and able to make the climb before booking. We call our property the Gratitudio - combining the words Gratitude and Studio. We are grateful to have this amazing space to share with you. We know you will have a memorable experience! This luxurious loft apartment spans the entire top floor of the Allen Building, a historic Kent landmark. With an expansive open layout, you and your travel companions can gather around the bar, pull up a seat by the tall windows, hang out on the couch, or play a few games of foosball or table tennis. Sleeping arrangements: (Read carefully and see photos). For the first 2 guests, there is a large, private bedroom with a king size bed, big screen tv, big closet and direct access to the full bathroom. The 2nd bed is a full-sized futon located in a nook off of the main area with a movable privacy screen. Additional guests are welcome to sleep in the recliner chair, on the couch, or feel free to bring an air mattress! On the first floor of the building is the award winning GRAZERS Restaurant. A fast-casual locally owned spot well-known for their vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. They also have amazing macaroni and cheese and meat options including cage-free chicken and pulled pork. Please let us know if you have any questions about the Gratitudio or the City of Kent and all we have to offer! Guest access There will be a keypad located on the middle door of 123 N. Water Street. You will be given your access code before you arrive for your stay. Once you reach the top of the first flight of stairs, turn right and unlock the 2nd door on the right with the same code. Once you open the door, you will climb a 2nd flight of stairs that leads directly into your private loft apartment. Other things to note Accessibility: Guests must climb two, tall flights of stairs to reach the apartment and no other access is available. Sleeping Arrangements: Please look closely at the photos and their descriptions to familiarize yourself with the sleeping arrangements before booking. We provide 1 king bed, 1 futon, and couches and a recliner chair. In compliance with a City of Kent regulation, you may be required to sign a straightforward lease agreement which will be tailored to the duration of your reservation.
