The Big Top

A cavernous 7 meter bell tent in a wild, rural and rustic setting with private fire pit and outdoor seating. The Big Top has access to a shared outdoor kitchenette with additional seating and is exclusively for glampers. Enjoy the comfort of one double bed with bedstead, an additional double bed and single bed allowing occupancy for 5 people. There is a shared glampers toilet and new to 2025 a shared shower incl! Light and power bank available with a small fee and returnable deposit. Towels incl The space We are a wild and rustic glamping spot that brings some of the comforts of the indoors to our bell tents for a great outdoors experience! Wake up to kites and eagles. Watch the wing-walkers, parachutists and cruising spitfires from the local aerodrome and in the evenings you can hear the roaring lions from The Big Cat Sanctuary a few fields away. Immerse yourself in the heart of the beautiful Kent countryside and take advantage of the many public footpaths around the campsite. We are also in an area of low light pollution which makes for excellent star gazing! Far and Away is 1.2 miles from the village of Headcorn where you can find local amenities, shops, pubs and restaurants. There are a host of National Trust sites within a short drive including Sissinghurst Castle and many wonderful villages to visit including medieval Biddenden, and bustling Tenterden high street. Next to junction 8 of the m20 we also have Leeds Castle. A 20 minute drive from Far and Away! 30 minutes from Ashford town and 30 minutes from Maidstone town centre. We are also ideally situated for a layover on the way to Dover or Folkestone for trips over to the continent being only a 50 minute drive away. Sit out in the evenings with a blanket and a drink to enjoy the sunset, the stars or snuggle up under the canopy of the Big Top. Guest access Big Top guests have shared access with other glampers to the glamping field, the outdoor kitchenette and seating area, cooking resources and basic food storage. There is a private toilet reserved for glamping guests only and a campsite wide shower for everyone to use. Other things to note Quiet time after 10pm. 5mph speed limit while driving on site. Please store food in the kitchenette at your own risk. Anything left in the tent is left at your own risk. Any problems using any of the facilities please let us know to avoid breakages. Firewood is available to buy at £5 per basket. Just let us know what you need. Light and power bank unit can be supplied at a cost of £5 for your stay and a £15 deposit. The £15 deposit will be returned at checkout.
