Description

A quintessential New England experience awaits you @ Little Red! A historic Tiny House, built in 1900, sits in the center of Stonington Borough, a seaside village on the coast of Narragansett Bay. Fully renovated in 2024, with a new kitchen & bathroom, Little Red - inspired by Nordic design - includes a queen bed and a dining & living area with 5 windows offering village views! A bright yellow door invites you up one flight of stairs to an open & light filled loft-like studio space. Sleeps 2-4 The space Little Red is an open & bright, loft-like 450 square foot studio space. Tall ceilings and five large windows offer tons of natural light. The tiny house works best for a couple, but does accommodate up to 4 people. There is a queen bed, as well as a sleeper sofa with a queen temperpedic mattress. The space was fully renovated in 2024, and includes a new kitchen and bathroom. A dining table that seats 4, easily converts to a home work station during the day. The home is walking distance to restaurants, shops and our small local beach. It is centrally located between the charming New England shoreline towns of Mystic, CT and Westerly/Watch Hill, RI. Vineyards, casinos and RI beaches are only 20 minutes away. See Guide Book (in progress) for more details on places to go/things to do! Mystic Amtrak station is less than 10 minutes away - as are some of CT's best rated restaurants. In Summer there are endless beach, water and boating activities in this quintessential New England fishing village, which proudly has the only remaining active fishing fleet in CT. Yes - we have fresh fish and lobster off the boats! In the Fall & Winter, enjoy the village views from your cozy space in Little Red and visit award winning restaurants, museums and leaf peeping hikes with your pup. Guest access The entire loft-like studio space includes a Kitchen with cooking essentials, one full bathroom with shower, a queen sized bed, a sleeper sofa, a dining nook that easily converts to a workspace, and living area with smart TV. WiFi throughout. This is a private space, which is all yours to enjoy! Other things to note There is no private outdoor space, but we do have a beautiful teak bench placed on the sidewalk right in front of Little Red, which you can utilize anytime. It's a great spot to sit and watch the world go by whilst enjoying your morning coffee or an afternoon read. If you want to spread out on the beach and take a swim - we offer you a beach umbrella and two beach chairs, which you can use down at The Point/DuBois Beach (beach passes required Memorial to Labor Day) and the Westerly/RI beaches. There is also a great spot to take a quick dip anytime of day - three blocks away at Whalen's Wharf. There is also access to a kayak launch just two blocks away (and your kayak can be stored in a designated utility area next to Little Red!). There is no washer & dryer in the space. Laundry services are available by calling Pier Cleaners in Mystic (across from the Big Y). A laundromat is available @ Stonington Clean & Fresh Laundromat (across from Stonington High).
