Nestled high on the hillside overlooking Mudgee, escape to Highlands Barn Stay, Menah. Located only 6 mins from the center of Mudgee township your private stay offers a feeling of open space whilst still enjoying close proximity to our local eateries, wineries, town markets and more. Enjoy the spectacular views of Mudgee town and surrounding mountains as well as the property itself. You will be hard pressed to find a more spectacular view of the area, both day and night. The space Located on 25 acres, "the barn" is set privately away from the main residence offering total privacy. Enjoy your own access driveway to come and go as you please. The Barn offers modern country style living and is finished to the highest of standards. Accommodation consists of one king bed suite which includes storage space for suit cases, a work space, side tables, incredibly comfy king mattress, quality linen and a selection of pillows. There are charging ports for devices located at each side of the bed and desk area. Adjoining the bedroom is a luxurious en-suite bathroom including huge walk in shower with both rain shower and hand shower. All the necessities are provided - body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, plus luxurious towels. Ample storage is provided in the wardrobe for both hanging and folded clothes as well as a separate cupboard containing ironing board, iron, sewing kit, dust pan and broom as well as a stick vacuum, insect spray, candles, torch and first aid kit. Continuing into the living space, you will find a generous lounge space with sofa lounge, coffee table and Qled wall mounted TV. (Please note that you need to advise us if you are travelling with children or additional travelers so that we can make up the sofa bed - this will incur a $50 per night surcharge). Dining table is located centrally between the lounge area and kitchenette. The kitchenette is designed for convenience as we suspect that you will be out enjoying the local eateries, however for those that choose to eat in, the kitchenette offers a coffee maker, 2 burner hob, convection oven, range hood, dishwasher and generous sink. There are enough pots and pans supplied if you do choose to whip up a meal. There is a filtered water tap located in the kitchen as well as a full sized upright fridge/freezer. Enjoy free high speed internet while you stay and excellent phone reception. Outdoors you will find an ample dining table , relaxed undercover lounge chairs as well as a generous gas BBQ. Enjoy the fire pit while you overlook the twinkling lights of Mudgee town after the sun has set. Parking is undercover and set well off the road for total privacy. Surrounded by 25 acres you can take in the activity of the horses going about their business in adjoining paddocks and on the arena or simply enjoy the view while being serenaded by the abundance of bird life that calls Highlands home. All this only minutes from town. Guest access Guests enjoy a generous fenced off 1/4 acre area of the property surrounding the Barn, overlooking the property. Access is via a dedicated driveway for the Barn that can be accessed at the guests convenience, day or night. Entry into the Barn is via an electronic keypad and sensor lights provide ample lighting on arrival. Parking is under cover. Note that we do not provide EV charging, however there are multiple fast chargers available in town provided by the council. SPECIAL NOTE: Guests are asked to not explore the remainder of the property as the paddocks all contain horses. We don't want to see guests inadvertently injured through tying to approach an animal that they are unfamiliar with. Other things to note Whilst we do allow pets with prior consent to stay with us however this is at your own risk, our property is in the country with surrounding animals both wild and domestic. Having your pet stay with us also incurs a $50 one off fee for the duration of your stay as it requires additional cleaning time.
