Description

Castle of Skiatook is on one of the best kept secrets in Oklahoma. One of the clearest lakes with great boating and beautiful views. A one of a kind 3 story with a bit of the whimsical Rapunzel fairy tale, Swedish alps, and a mixture of castle design furnished with live edge wood and petrified wood accents with custom landscaping finished with a personal touch. Sit on the balcony watching the lake overlooking the barbecue area. A paradise.for couples. Access to the lake is a few minutes away. The space Castle of Skiatook Welcomes You When you walk through the Hobbit-style front door, the first thing you’ll notice is the round window overlooking the kitchen and dining area. This space features live-edge custom countertops and a backsplash crafted from petrified wood collected over two generations of the owner’s family. Each piece was personally cut, polished, and installed by the owner. Mother Nature spent thousands of years designing every stone—now preserved for your enjoyment. As you make your way to the second level, you’ll be greeted by stained glass windows and custom lighting. Continue up the stairs into the bedroom, where the live-edge bathroom door and a beautifully lighted stone slab suspended above the king-size bed immediately capture your attention. Entering the bathroom, you’ll find a petrified wood sink and a spacious shower with sliding glass doors, blending natural beauty with modern comfort. Continue upward and turn for the final steps into the upper living area. Here, vaulted ceilings, an antler chandelier, and expansive windows create an open and inviting space. Relax by the electric fireplace, enjoy the minibar, and admire the stone slabs displayed throughout the room. Open the patio doors to bring the outdoors in and experience one of the most stunning views on Skiatook Lake—soaring above the treeline. Step out onto the upper deck for breathtaking scenery. Tallchief Cove lies to your left, and as you slowly turn right, sweeping views stretch for miles beyond the three islands. Whether indoors or outside on the deck, it’s hard to find a better vantage point. On clear nights, the stars feel close enough to reach out and touch. As you head back downstairs and step onto the lower patio, you’ll discover a private setting perfect for relaxing by the fire, grilling your favorite meal, or unwinding after a day on the lake, sightseeing, or simply escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For special occasions, hundreds of exterior LED lights illuminate the Castle, offering a wide range of colors to create the perfect ambiance. Note: A full-hookup RV spot is available to rent for additional guests. There is also a second home on the property that may be occupied from time to time by the owners, friends, or family. This home has separate parking and does not interfere with guest privacy. Your privacy is important to us, and we are always available to answer any questions or concerns during your stay. ⸻ Guest access The Castle is limited to a maximum of two adults for overnight stays, and valid photo IDs are required. You are welcome to have up to six daytime visitors throughout your stay with 48 hours’ notice before check-in including the names of guests, vehicle descriptions, and a contact phone number. We kindly ask that all visitors adhere to our quiet hours. We understand that special situations may arise and are happy to discuss exceptions and make mutual arrangements when proper notice is provided. Other things to note Please be mindful of your surroundings. The Castle is located in the countryside, where wildlife and small critters are common and, at times, potentially dangerous. While we have a professional company that regularly treats the property for spiders, centipedes, scorpions, ants, and other insects, you may still encounter wildlife such as snakes, raccoons, mice, deer, and foxes, as this is normal for the area. The property sits high above the lake, where natural cliffs and drop-offs are present. Please exercise caution at all times. The owners are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or incidents resulting from unsafe behavior or curiosity by guests or visitors. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your stay. You and your guests are responsible for any damage, broken, or missing items during your visit. Please take appropriate precautions to ensure the property is respected and notify the host promptly if any issues occur. Internet service is provided via HughesNet satellite and may be limited at times, with slower speeds. Cellular service may also be slow for uploading or downloading files or photos, depending on your carrier. Over 65 local TV channels are available. No pets or additional overnight guests are permitted, and no visitors are allowed to stay past quiet hours. Note: A full-hookup RV spot is available to rent for additional guests. There is also a second home on the property that may be occupied from time to time by the owners, friends, or family. This home has separate parking and does not interfere with guest privacy. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Sincerely, Castle of Skiatook
