The Pad at Standard Deluxe - Waverly, AL

This quaint house is perfectly located for your visit to Waverly or a nearby location (Auburn, Opelika, Lake Martin). It is situated on the creative grounds of Standard Deluxe -- an iconic Southern print shop and music venue that presents the Old 280 Boogie (spring music festival) and other music performances and events throughout the year. It’s only a 15-minute drive into downtown Auburn and Opelika, so stay here for easy access to an event at Auburn University or for a relaxing getaway. The space Our space is a tranquil, green location in the center of Waverly, Alabama – a thriving tiny town just outside the larger towns of Opelika and Auburn. The Pad is a 1-block walk from the entrance to Standard Deluxe's creative grounds, which host music shows and events in both the Little House (a small, quaint venue) and the outdoor stage. La Última bar is also on site, as is the Feed Shak, with pop-up meals by guest chefs. Visit the Standard Deluxe website for further information and the event calendar. Take a stroll around the town’s country roads, full of beautifully-preserved Southern homes, sweeping oak trees, an old, picturesque cemetery, The Waverly Local restaurant, and a small shopping district. The Pad Dogtrot features a front and back porch with outdoor furniture to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. There is a living room space with a TV, a dining table that seats up to four, and a full kitchen with an oven/stove, toaster oven, microwave, fridge, and items needed for cooking. There are three bedrooms (two double-sized beds and a single bed), and a bathroom with a stand-up shower. Guest access Guests have complete privacy when staying at The Pad, and there is ample parking in front. The hosts live next door and the fenced-in large yard of Standard Deluxe’s creative grounds is nearby (a large fence separates the Standard Deluxe yard, where shows and events take place). Other things to note We are in a very rural location. Our nearest gas station, grocery store and other shopping is about a 10-15 minute drive in either direction on Hwy 280. The house has basic cooking essentials – pots and pans, cooking oil, salt, pepper and herbs. We will also have butter and a couple snacks available.
