Clean, comfortable place to stay while visiting the North Island. The space Relax with family and friends in this quiet, peaceful community. This guesthouse is a self-contained, two bedroom half-duplex. Bedrooms have new beds and bedding. The fully equipped kitchen has a dinning room table and chairs. This space has a cozy ambiance with lots of character and is decorated with local art. The suite is part of an older home, so it feels rustic in places. It is furnished with carefully curated thrift store finds and antiques. There is room to park boats and trucks in front of and beside the suite and a large shared backyard to enjoy. One minute walk to one of the nicest beaches on Vancouver Island, Storey's Beach. Outdoor chairs and blankets are available, as well as wood, kindling, and roasting sticks for fires. Whether you are coming for work, to visit friends or family, or to enjoy the spectacular natural environment, this guesthouse is a welcoming, comfortable place to stay. Other things to note There are a few hikes in the neighbourhood including the Tex Lyon Trail, which starts at the end of Chatham Road (1/2 block away) and the Fort Rupert Commuter Trail, which starts beside Fort Rupert Elem, just over a kilometer away. If you have kayaks or paddleboards, bring them up because the beach is within walking distance. There is great fishing here too and in the fall you can fish right off of the beach. Storey's Beach is about a 15 minute drive from the town centre of Port Hardy, which is a full service town with: groceries, gas, coffee shop, book store, library, restaurants, ect...
