For those seeking lakeside tranquility without sacrificing creature comforts or proximity to town, this cozy camp has it all. Located at the end of a dead-end quiet road, and walking distance to Birch Point restaurant, you'll be rewarded with loon calls on summer nights and cozy fireside winter mornings. Snow sled and ATV right from the camp. The space The Space First Floor: Bedroom (queen bed), Kitchen, Bathroom, Living Room, Wood Stove, 3-Season Porch. Loft: King Bed + Twin OR Three Twins Basement: Laundry, Small Entertainment Room. Outdoors: Lake Access Private Dock (seasonal) One Canoe Four Kayaks PFDs (Adult + Child Sizes) Fire Pit Outdoor Seating Gas Grill Outdoor Shower (seasonal) Outdoor Dining For Six Walking Path to Birch Point Restaurant ATV + Snow Sled Friendly Four Pairs Snowshoes (Adult + Kids Sizes) The Lake Pleasant Pond is a stunning spring-fed lake, with crystal clear pristine water. Swimming off the dock is shallow and sandy for a long ways out, with a slightly rocky shoreline. Fishing is mostly Smallmouth Bass, Pickerel, and Yellow Perch. Lake Trout are also common. A Maine fishing license is required to fish off the dock, and can be purchased in 1, 3, or 7-day options, as well as the full season. Small fishing boats can be rented from Birch Point, a 5-minute walk from camp. Guest access Guests can access all areas of the camp, except our locked housekeeping closet, and the shed. Other things to note The walking path to Birch Point passes through the yard, and other neighbors in the area also use it. Please don't be alarmed if you see folks walking by or coming out of the woods. Birch Point occasionally hosts events and live music. You may be able to hear some noise from the restaurant when this is going on. They don't typically run very late into the evening. The original historic Hillman Camp used to be located where the fire pit is now. Great care is taken each year to remove any remaining nails and bits of glass, and yet the earth releases more as time passes. Please wear shoes when walking around the lawn!
